Regina Chestnut Puree, 15.5 Ounce

I got this to make Mont Blanc instead of buying fresh chestnut to make my own puree to save time. It works fine but is not as good as fresh chestnut but you could make it anytime of the year if you have this. I will definitely buy it again since Mont Blanc is my favorite dessert.

Anyone who wants to make chestnut stuffing or a similar dish is encouraged to use this product, because the labor involved in extracting clean chestnuts from their shells is overwhelming as some of us already know.I would wholeheartedly recommend this product - well worth the price!I cannot compare this with a competitive product because it's been a while since I purchased this type of product.The quality was fine for me and my guests who enjoyed my chestnut stuffing with a turkey dinner!

This stuff is The integral ingredient of our family's Thanksgiving going back three generations. The recipe is in Joy of Cooking, and I remember the bad old days when my mother had to deal with whole unroasted chestnuts.

It was for a special recipe my wife was doing.

The chestnut puree I purchased worked well, as it has in the past. However the cost of shipping is outrageous and I will find alternative ways to find it in the future.
