Great Vessel - Needed Minor Adaptation on the Lip
I am fairly new to Sous Vide cooking. I use the RIIMONE Sous Vide machine and started out with a stainless steel pot. While this works okay, there seems to be a good amount of water loss due to evaporation when using an open pot for the longer durations. The pot also affords limited space for multiple pouches. I looked into Sous Vide vessels and decided to try the GEESTA one. At 12 quarts, it should handle most of my needs. The lid definitely can help keep the water loss to a minimum. The unit seems to be pretty sturdy and well designed. The lip of the container presented an issue as my RIIMONE clamp had a problem with it. I considered returning it for another brand but most of these have a lip and would probably have the same result. I decided to adapt the unit by cutting a small portion of the lip off with my oscillating saw. I now have a small notch in the lip on one side of the vessel that allows my Sous Vide clamp to fit much better.I am now able to use this with plenty of space and no worries of water loss on the longer duration cooks.

A GREAT! Help for Sous Vide !
This is a great product! I thought it might not work when I was first assembling it, but wanted to give it a fair shake so I stuck with figuring it out. It didn't come with any directions just a broken box that it arrived in. So glad I did not give up! The Stainless is of great quality. It assembles super quick once you understand how to do it. NO MORE WEIGHTS in your sous vide. You can put up to 5 bags of food in this thing without touching each other. It actually helps to keep the food pressed to the same thickness. You can do more bags with the slots they send but we haven't needed it. The little piece that goes across the top holds all the bags down perfectly and they are submerged great. We have the plastic bin that the sous vide fits in on one end and you can put the rack sideways or longways. We did 8 chicken breasts and 6 thighs at one time. We've done 6 steaks with it. All kinds of stuff. I love to do eggplant in this thing! You can cook your eggplant and not add any oil to it. Makes the best rollatini (it's super soft and flavorful) (Rollatini: just put goat cheese with herbs in it, roll it up and eat as appetizer with a glass of wine)I highly recommend this rack if you sous vide and like to do a lot at once (you can do veggies and meats, we've added them at the same time and comes out great)

Decent starter box.
I'm fairly new to sous vide, and was appalled at the cost of the standard box even without the lid, so I decided to give this a shot. Dimensions should be adjusted, if it were slightly shorter, wider, and a touch linger, I think those dimensions would be a little better.I've started with an Instant Pot circulator in this box, and while the gap was noticeable, it still fit. After the Instant Pot died after just a few uses (my water may have been too hard, and cooking potatoes multiple times at 185-194F) I was able to clean out some residue fairly easily and fit a significantly larger Chefman unit in it. The caveats with the Chefman are the clamp styled connector on the back is better suited to a container without a lip - which this has. The Instant Pot/Anova style connectors that screw to pinch are better suited, though the clamp still technically works. The second questionable design is the thickness of the walls. This can be resolved by putting an insulator around the unit, but after that you're pulling up to the price point of the "nicer" containers. And then, the lid. The lid doesn't fit snugly all the way around the unit, and some warping keeps a couple of the corners from keeping a nice, flush seal.A few minor tweaks and this would become a 5 star bargain purchase. Not having use the nicer of the sous vide containers myself, I could only assume they would be slightly better, but if they weren't, then this would be the go to by far.

Just as good as more expensive stainless steel sous vide racks
I searched most of the sous vide rack offerings on the net, read all the reviews I could find & selected the lowest cost 100% stainless rack I could find. Geesta racks share many similar looking parts other more expensive racks are made with. Many of the stainless steel sous vide racks are also very similar in overall dimensions. I'm of the opinion a single Chinese factory is churning out these racks and making minor adjustments in designs to give the impression several companies are in competition with each other. Just look at the different brand sous vide racks offered and look closely at the parts. I've used my Geesta rack in a 12 quart container and also in a modified Coleman cooler with more room to accommodate longer packages of baby back ribs. I like the easy spacer adjustments and haven't really needed the top bar because I seal everything with my Foodsaver and floating isn't a problem. I have had no problems with corrosion. The fit and finish of my Geesta rack was very good without raw (sharp) edges. The feet have a small bottom radius so they don't have a sharp end that may puncture a thin plastic container bottom. If there were any sharp edges, I wouldn't complain about it, I'd just use a piece of abrasive cloth to knock off any edge that could cut something. After a half dozen uses, none of the spot welds have broken and none of the parts in my rack have bent to the point of not fitting. I also enjoy totally collapsing the rack for storage and wrapping it with a velcro strap.

Great Item
This has been great. It is so useful for sous vide. We had a huge pot we used before and this is much better. We have even taken it on road trips. The dividers are very useful too and the lid helps keep the temperature in the container.

It comes with a stainless sous vide rack!
As described. It even came with a sous vide rack which I dont recall seeing in their description - so I'll return the other rack from Amazon. Saved me an ext $35!!Hope the plastic composite lasts awhile as it seems thin. Only time will tell..

Great for large steaks
I am new to sous vide cooking, and I wanted a container to expand my recipe repertoire. I cooked 3 large steaks in the cooker - the stainless steel inserts adjusted well to accommodate the steaks. Without this cooker, my meal would have taken longer to prepare, since I'd otherwise have to cook the steaks one at a time. The container is durable and retains the water bath with a lid. I recommend this cooker to enhance your recipe collection!

Great rack but will have to remove Rubbermaid lid to put into container
Great rack with many adjustable compartments. Only issue is that it is too wide/long to put into the Rubbermaid container when the SV lid/cover is used. Will have to remove the SV, then the lid, in order to put the rack in.Other than that, product seem sturdy, well made, and does its job.
