A bit rushed towards end, but...
Rushed ending, but worth reading. Of all the 4 in series, Paradise & this were my favorite, the other 2 were too long & the last, I didn't really care for. "Every Breath You Take" was better w/ an Italian & Irish intrigue. One thing's for sure, most of McNaught's leading men, you can definitely see she has an affinity for the tall, dark, & super handsome! Plus rich.

Great, as is every book she has ever written
Anyone would be surprised when their father after almost 30 years declares he wants to see her, and have her meet the rest of the family. When she is contacted to accept his invitation, and bring an FBI agent she agrees. Another story full of surprises.

2.5 stars - inconsistent with reality...
This would have been a great story except for some fatal flaws that left me scratching my head thinking, "Where the heck was the editor on this one?" first of all, Sloan Reynolds is a cop who was recently on television and in newspapers following a daring rescue of a toddler down a well. And the people of Palm Beach, who live only an hour away, haven't heard of her or seen her on the tube? Highly unlikely absolutely NO ONE would have recognized her. Highly unlikely that her father would NOT have done a background check on her before she came. Some of the police procedures were off the mark. And the epilogue fell far short of drawing everythiing together. Where was Sloan? Was she still a cop? What happened with her relationship with Paul, now her brother in law? What happened to Sloan's father? What was the final outcome of all that undercover work? What were the repercussions to the Reynolds name and business interests?Too many unanswered questions. It's too bad, too, because the characters were likeable - except Noah, who really curled my fists sometimes with his view on marriage and children and casual relationships. Of course you grudgingly fall for him like Sloan.

Night Whispers
A female officer, an FBI agent, a strong dysfunctional family, a love story, a sister and mother who are estranged and you have a receipt for a mystery and a very suspenseful story line. If you like all these ingredients you will love this book. Happy reading.

Another 5 star book by Judith McNaught
Judith McNaught is one of the best romance novelists ever; certainly one of my favorite authors and she has written another winner with "Night Whispers".

I got the paradise series books. I liked how they are all interlinked but not so that the main story is overshadowed.

I really liked Night Whispers
I really liked Night Whispers. It is the reason that I went on to order "Perfect" and "Paradise". Night Whispers had mystery, but it did not overtake the romance in the book. It is more the type of book I like to read. I will read it again.

This is the 3rd book of the Second Oppurtunities by Judith Mcnaught. It's has no connection with Paradise or Perfect other than the FBI agent Paul Richardson having a bigger role in this book than perfect. Zac Benedict is mention along with Julie Mathinson. There is a murder mystery intertwined with the love story but it doesn't over shadow it more like a side line story.Sloan is a cop assigned as an undercover agent to find information on her absentee and criminal father. Along the way she is introduced to Noah and falls in love with him. Unknown to her the FBI agent is also out to get Noah, and she unknowingly betrays him. But their love proves to be stronger and the story has a beautiful ending. As things happen, the FBI agent falls for Sloan's sister. The book will leave you with a happy light hearted feeling.
