Essential! Save the planet a pod at a time
Brilliant, was able to use the kit and able to make a great coffee with perfect crema from the first try! Very intuitive once you have your pre cut and emptied pods.Okay, so kit wise you will need a sharp blade/ pointy tool to actually remove the foil nespresso uses which should be included in this kit I feel. This is also going to make or break the kit as while the foils are sticky uneven surfaces or coffee will affect how good the seal is. The next is your grind size, you need a fine/medium fine grind that matches the coffee found in nespresso pods. Once this is set the rest is really easy.Saves you money, allows you to use your own coffee grinds, saves the environment and your new geesta pods can be reused multiple times since these foils have a lip which can easily be peeled off after use.So while improvements could be made, this is an essential kit for nespresso vertuoline owners and for your wallet in the long run. Bear in mind you will need pods from time to time as damaged pods should not be used (with dents or terrible seals) and I think it would be a disservice to nespresso for not trying out their wonderful high quality flavours from time to time.

Stunning way to save cost and recycling and use any coffee you want!
Excellent kit and so easy to do, save £££ vs buying original.Remember each pod has a barcode which controls temp etc. These need to be unobstructed and not scratched. Use this kit to keep them that way!1. Shows kit minus plastic spoon. Also used pod2. Run sharp knife around outside. I push mine up againest the rim. Don’t cut the rim or pod itself. Pressure to move knife through the lid is very light.3. Note the amount of coffee and it’s level4. Shake out coffee, wash out and dry (important, wetness causes problems). Be careful not to dent pod. Any dent can be gentle pushed out, usual to find pod slightly dented.5. I found one heaped scoop was enough. Use ground coffee (any flavour you want!) and pat gently into pod. Level of coffee must be below the rim. Pat pressure same for pushing knife around lid. Use the brush and brush off any grains on outside rim part.6. Apply foil. I ran the wrong end of the brush around the rim before running my nail around it.7. Push down any foil on the sides but make sure it doesn’t affect bar code underneath.8. Done! Note the little nib in the Wood, I use this to align my foil. The tab I bend back over the top otherwise it gets int he way of the barcode. There you go, the foils just peel off meaning no need to cut. I have reused my pods many many times and refilling a pod and resealing takes about a minute if being careful.Crema on top is the same and no taste or other problems. Substantially saves on cost and recycling.

Honest review- works well
Does what it says!! Once you emptied cleaned out pods which is the fiddly and time consuming part you are ready to go. Obviously doesn’t taste exactly the same but delivers a very similar coffee, you get the crema but probably not as rich and found the crema disintegrated quicker. (My experience) Just need to find the right coffee now that works well for my taste.. I find the nesspresso flavour quite intense whereas the coffee I bought for this not so much, need something in between (Although the espresso pod made with my coffee gave me same caffeine buzz) ..Any recommendations would be great..

Effective and relatively easy to use
With a bit of practice these are relatively easy to use. Be aware this is only the beginning of your journey to replicate the quality and consistency of the Nespresso original capsules. How finely your coffee is ground and the level of fill within the capsule have an enormous impact on the quality of the end product. Annoying for some people or many happy hours of tinkering for others. With a bit of effort a whole world of coffees become available to you at a more reasonable price.

Foils work but kit is overpriced
These foils work well if you're just prepared to make them up. However, the kit is a bit overpriced for what you get. A small expresso cup or an eggcup would work just as well for holding the capsules in place. The little brush, well, its just a little brush and the plastic coffee spoon, well... You can save yourself some money by going to the separate listing for 120 foil caps, use your own 'mould' and away you go.

Reliable and easy to use
We have now ordered 2 sets of these (for 'bulk' production) and are ordering multiple packs of replacement foils. It's easy to use, and once you have mastered sealing around the edges, they work a treat. Unlike other reviews we haven't had any split on us. Even if we haven't sealed properly around the edge the coffee is staying in the pod. The wooden support really helps when holding to make the seal. As our favourite brand of ground coffee isn't available in Nespresso pods, these foils mean we can drink whatever we like. Reusing the Nespresso pods is more environmentally friendly, and also ensures the bar codes read properly. A sharp knife around the inside of the lip of the original pod quickly removes the original foils.

Saving me money
This is a great product for saving money as the proper pods are expensive wasted a couple of foils during practice bur now get it spot on first time, the only thing I find annoying is that when you peel the foil of the backing it curls apart from that great little gadget.

It really works!
So impressed! I was a little dubious at first, thought it’d be too fiddly and wouldn’t work. How wrong was I! Now I can enjoy even more variety of coffee at a fraction of the cost! Would definitely recommend! I used a clean Stanley knife to cut the original seal.
