Not 16x only 4x
To no surprise to anyone this is not really 16x only 4xI got this knowing this of course, but the first person who saw it mistook it for 16x so I feel like mentioning that it's not first. Title and looks are deceptive, but you can easily see that only the first 4x slot is hooked up to anything on the card.Overall I like the card, but I had t -1 star since IMO the drive is on the wrong side. Having it face down in my case put the drive out of the best air flow, whereas if it would have been on top of the card it would have better air flow.The other thing is it means the full weight of my heavy heat sink is pulling on the screw rather than sitting on the card.

For storage only unless you have newer motherboard.
Works great, very fast. Keep in mind you will not be able to boot or run OS from this drive unless your board already has m.2 slot. So this allows older boards to support some fast m.2 storage but you likely won't be able to load your system files on it and boot from it.

Good value, quality, reliable, fast.
Works reliably and fast. Good product. I use it in a 2009 Mac Pro flashed to the 2010 model to boot up with an NVME drive. It gets about 1,400 mbps in and out. That’s the limit of my PCIe slot, not this card. I would recommend this to anyone who knows the difference and wants an NVME drive in a machine with an open PCIe slot but without a M2 slot.

Very easy to add a m.2 to a computer without one on motherboard
Added to m.2 to a Dell Precision T5810 Workstation,i thought a SSD was fast till I added the M.2,now even lell time waiting.Made a 2016 really worth buying.

Solid, inexpensive solution
I have 2 M.2 PCIe slots on my motherboard, but because of a replacement I wound up with 3 NVMes. This is a full-speed solution to that problem. It also cures the overheating issue with the on-board slots.No issues at all with installation. It just works.

Everything was perfect.
