Appears to be functioning properly. Corresponds to temps the manual thermometer displays
I rated for "warmth" but have no idea what that term represents here. It is really handy having a thermometer that shows temp range from low to high. Tree trimmers smote the main power line a couple miles away and all power to my shanty was loss. Around 3 hours later the power returned. Hooray!!! Peering at my new electronic thermometer I saw that the high temp attained was 41-degrees F. That reading assisted with my determination that all the food was still okay to eat. The unit in the freezer section showed that the max temp was 35-degrees F and with all inside still rock-hard frozen all was okay there. If the power goes out when I am away and when I return the power is back on the flashing clock on the stove tells me I lost power and the high temp reading will be peered at. If I see that room temp was attained I will try to determine length of outage to make a guess at food safety. The high-low temp reading can also indicate a possible defective fridge. My new fridge is still under warranty so these thermometers may come in handy for determining if the factory needs to send a repair woman. Or man. Sasquatch could show up and if they can fix the fridge I will be happy.

Stopped working after 2 years
The product stop working after about two years. Would’ve hoped it would continue working longer.Update: after allowing the thermometer to dry out in a very dry environment for an extended period of time it did begin working again. But I would hardly call it reliable after two years.

It works!!
My fridge stopped feeling as cold as usual (while my freezer was, well...freezing) and I was wondering if it was at a safe temperature while I attempted to fixed what was going on. Ordered this...immediately took the temperature of the surrounding area ...tested fridge? 50 something degrees. Tested freezer to make sure the reading was right. Spot on. Tested fridge again.I ended up fixing my fridge (full defrost, unplugging everything) and this thermometer gives me peace of mind everything is ok. It also keeps the highest and lowest temperature on the side so you can monitor any dips and raises during the day. I love it!!

Appears to be accurate
When I first received this it didn’t seem to be displaying the correct current temperature or high / low at room temperature. I was going to return it. I put it in our refrigerator which maintains a tightly controlled temperature that we keep a log of daily. It turns out to be spot on and within the range that we monitor . My only concern is about the battery because it is internal and batteries tend to discharge at a lower rate in cold conditions. If that be the case I might spend more for one with a remote sensor so the unit can be outside of the refrigerator. Time will tell.

dead battery
Item did not work when I pressed the power button, screen was 'dead'. Found the button cell battery inside was dead. Paid Amazon $6 for a set of 4 batteries. Inserted one and now it works fine. So, total cost was $18. Note: if you have the same experience, there is no accessible battery compartment, you have to take the casing apart to replace the battery. For that you need a micro (eyeglass) Phillips screwdriver and a fair amount of manual dexterity to handle the 4 tiny case screws, without dropping them. PS: I reported this to the supplier, requested a replacement battery, but no response.

Works fine if it's working at all.
I really needed to know if my refrigerator is working properly. I purchased two thermometers. One works fine. Just about one degree off. The second thermometer doesn't work at all.

Probably Saved Me $9,000
Purchased this to test a built-in refrigerator at a house I am buying. I had two more days to clear the contingencies. Decided to check the refrigerator. I discovered that although the lights work inside, the refrigerator is not working, nor is the freezer. My agent notified the seller. We shall see what happens. The device is easy to use, the readout is large enough for a senior to see, and the combination hook/stand worked just fine for me.

Very easy to see!
Easy to see current display when opening refrigerator door. There's also a high and low temperature display letting you know at what temperature range the Fridge is operating at! Tried to stand it up, thought it was too thin to stand up on it's own. The back plastic hook is way too narrow 3/8 of an inch. My fridge shelving lip/and the back of the fridge vent housing was too thick to be able to hang it. Probably will tape it in place or maybe fabricate a small bracket for it.

How to Setup
Mine is a little out of calibration - indicates 3 degrees low on the OUT sensor.Instructions are really poor.I wanted to use as a Freezer Alarm - alarm sounds if freezer temperature rises above, say, -10C.Put outside sensor into freezer.Select OUT.Press and hold ALM until 1st set temp flashes.Use the ADJ button on the rear to step the 1st set temp until it shows -10C (in my case) - need to step right through until it rolls over to -54, etc.Press ALM so the 2nd set temp flashes - it is 4C by default so I left it that, but it can be adjusted in the same way by pressing ADJ on the rear.Press ALM again to exit setup. The alarm will bleep and LED flashes when the temperature is between -10 and +4 in the above example. If you set the 2nd temp LOWER than the 1st, the alarm bleeps when lower than the 2nd and higher than the 1st (i.e. there is no alarm between the two temperature settings).NOTE: The alarm is NOT continuous. It bleeps for a few seconds every 100 seconds or so when in the alarm temperature ranges. (I thought I had a dud until I realised this.)

Excellent Fridge/Freezer Thermometer
Unlike other thermometers I've had for the freezer, the remote probe (on a 1 metre wire) allows continuous monitoring with having to open the door and remove any frost from the read-out. I calibrated mine with a water/ice mixture and it seems to be accurate to within less than half a degree Celsius. The Max/Min function is great as it shows the range of temperatures that occur when the freezer compressor cycles between on and off. The air temperature in both my freezers swings between -18 and -24 C, while the means temperature in packed food hovers around -20 C.I have another thermometer that has to be placed inside the freezer, but it is far less convenient as I have to open the door to read it, and I never know exactly where it is in the temperature cycle when I read it.
