Enlightened, Butter Pecan Ice Cream Keto Ice Cream, 16 fl oz (Frozen)

(Edit: I recently received 2 pints that had a weaker flavor and a harder consistency, requiring thawing for at least 10 minutes. Another bad batch? Hopefully it wasn't a recent change, because when it's a good batch, it's really good.)I've probably eaten over 20 of these by now, purchased from Fresh and at my local Whole Foods. This is by far the most delicious Keto ice cream I've tasted, and the best flavor they have. I've tasted a LOT of keto ice creams. Not all Enlightened flavors are equal, because oddly enough the texture, physical hardness and taste vary greatly. The butter pecan is consistently as soft as high quality non-keto ice cream, and tastes equally as good. It baffles me how they got this flavor to taste so authentic. In contrast, I've tried many of their other flavors, which tend to be either too bland or too hard/dry/powdery/icy in texture. I was never a hardcore butter pecan fan, but now I am just because of how good they executed this flavor. While they say wait 5-10 minutes after taking it out of the freezer, I never had to do that with the butter pecan flavor. It was always immediately soft enough to eat (Not anymore, see above edit).After having their butter pecan flavor so many times, what prompted me to actually write a review was ironically a mistake batch. For the first time, I received a pint which they apparently didn't add the "butter" flavoring, which made it taste like just sweet-cream and pecans. So I guess there's a very small chance you might get a bad one where an ingredient was forgotten. Enlighted, I forgive you because even as sweet-cream, it was still delicious due to the soft consistency and appropriate amount of sweetener.As for other reports of finding weird things like hair or other objects in the ice cream, I haven't experienced that yet. But if they could "forget" to put the butter in the butter pecan once, perhaps there's some problems wherever they are mass-producing these.

If your looking for something to satisfy your sweet tooth or you just can’t give up ice cream on your keto journey then this is the ice cream for you. When I snack on this I usually opt for something else throughout the day that is either no carbs or very low bc because depending on the flavor you get the carb count can go up to sometimes 7 net carbs. Which is why I usually buy this one because it is 2g net carbs. I’ve tried many keto friendly brand ice creams and enlightened is thus far my absolute favorite brand. This flavor is my favorite but their mint chocolate chip, coffee & cream, & red velvet are also sooo good. I know they have other flavors too I just haven’t tried them yet.

I wrote a review also for the mint chocolate chip flavored already but as you can see I keep several on hand at all times.It’s a lifesaver on keto diet. My husband and daughter are NOT on keto and both are quick to judge everything about my diet and both of them agree that the ice cream is good. I would still purchase if I wasn’t on keto.I was iffy based on other people’s reviews but I was desperate to find something that would satisfy my sweet cravings so decided to try. Well I have been purchasing ever since. Its expensive is the only negative. But absolutely worth it.

Keto ice cream crack. This stuff is wonderful. I have tried Enlightened’s other keto ice cream offerings and have been pleased with all of them. The double dough ice cream bars were number one on my list, but now the butter pecan is hands down, my fave. I saw the reviews that said it’s unavailable sometimes. I took a chance and bought 2. So glad I did. Half a cup doesn’t seem like a lot, but it’s so rich, that’s all you need. Also, very little protein, which I’m a fan of, so I easily stick with my 80% fat/17% protein/3% carbs ratio.

Probably from the corn fiber, not sure, but there’s a vaguely celery-like flavor to this. I guess if you like celery then that’s a plus. Will finish the pint because I’m cheap, but sticking with Rebel ice cream in the future.

Good ice cream for low carb.

The best substitute for regular ice cream. This Keto ice cream is the bomb. I'm literally addicted.
