Company Support has your back.
It's been a pleasure owning this device, for over 6 months now. I was looking for a slider for video productions for my small business and I came across GVM, I did some research and it was a no brainer for me to purchase the 48". It has its quirks and it's learning curve but over all it's been great and has accomplished all the goals I set for it to perform.4 months into owning the slider sent to me unfortunately had a mishap with the remote stopped working, I messaged customer support and they managed to send me a replacement, fast! Got it here, plugged in and it's back to work.Thank so much Kim! Pleasure to do business with this company.

Quality-built, excellent value for the money
I was taken aback when I first unpacked the box; not only was this unit large, but the carrying case and the packing were very high quality. Feel like I could ship or carry it on anywhere without worrying if it would make it safely or not. The construction of the unit is excellent, and the mechanism for rotating the camera while sliding is ingenious! While I would love for the remote to be able to also accommodate easily using a smartphone, it is still usable as-is with typical (shutter-based) cameras. There's a bit of a learning curve to understanding how it works, but once you do, this is an excellent slider that will deliver beautiful, sweeping shots on par with many of the high-dollar rigs!

It's ok... I didn't know what to expect but had higher hopes but for the price I guess it is fine
I got the 48" one. It is pretty easy to use. Maybe I was expecting to program more specific movements... but... as people say you have to program the start and end... which is a minor pain in the butt, but even worse because if you don't immediately stop it before it reaches the ends of the slider it grinds against the end until you hit the middle button. This seems like you are setting relative distance... and if you accidentally saved it while grinding against the edge, it will do this when you try to use it. I've done this a couple times in the beginning because I wanted it to go to the end.The Auto-loop didn't work at first, but then I went to the settings, reset it, and it worked. I kind of wish the speed was a bit faster or at least you could control the easing from slowdown to stop speed or duration... but maybe I am asking for more advanced features...The way the camera pans is not exactly automatically... or programmed I guess. There is a pole in the middle you have to adjust either to turn it one way or the other. So there are basically 3 pans you can do... left by the end, right by the end, or straight if you get the bar straight. I guess this can work but I was expecting more customization. You can, of course, start at one end with your camera facing the subject diagonally, and then make it pan as it goes to the other side to face the subject,... I guess it works but I haven't tried it yet... seems like a bit of set up is required rather than just programming what you want... I can imagine this might limit some shots... like depending on the focal length... but I haven't fully tested this.So... yeah... it's ok. I don't know if it will become too limiting from lack of features, but it is a motorized slider so... this fine for most jobs probably.

Great Slider for the price range
This is NOT at $3K slider, but it is a great value for its price. It does take longer to set up because there are no presets nor any ability to save presets. But, it is solidly built and does the job once you get it set up, and it was less than $400 when I bought the 49" model. I have used the Panasonic S1H and the GH5 on this slider with no problems. I will be buying a second unit in the future.

WILL. NOT. LAST.
Very disappointed with GVM products. This is the second one we buy in the last year or so and they stop working after a few months. The current one just died out of nowhere last week. We used it only on Sundays for our church service and only for a couple of hours. It's kept on tripods, clean and climate-controlled area. No reason this should stop working like this...Will never buy anything from this brand again!

Worth the price.
This slider is a great option for someone whos looking for a slider that can capture super-smooth shots at a great price. I've used mine quite a bit. So far it's holding up very well, it's extremely sturdy. I like that you can mount single or multiple tripods to it. I only wish you had a bit more control over the rotational component.

It came with a broken tripod ball.
The ball which came with it was broken, and would not support the weight of the rails.Super disappointed with it.It was also the shakiest footage I’ve seen, the USB connection also does not stay in place so you should be prepared to use electrical tape or something similar to hold the cable in place.
