Very durable, worth the extra money
When I bought this a year ago, my husband teased me for spending so much money on it when you can easily find a plastic bucket for like 2 bucks. But you know what? We still have this bucket and my toddler uses it all the time. Not just for beach days, but to carry rocks, slosh water around and play in the garden. It certainly is the Porsche of plastic buckets and I think it is worth every penny. The rope handle is the smartest, a plastic handle would have probably broken by now. Anyhow, these days I like to remind my husband that we've had this bucket a year now and it is still going strong. I great staple for any adventurous little one!

A Diamond in the Rough!
This Sand Play Set from Green toys is definitely a Diamond in the Rough. It is nothing like the cheap plastic sets that will bend and disappoint. It is made from strong recycled plastic, that is BPA free, and is tough and sturdy for child's play. We bought two one for each of our toddlers and they love them. It is recommended for children ages 3 and above but our 2 year old plays with it just fine (just watch younger children who may poke eyes with the rake, or want to put it in their mouths - though its safe).PROS1. Eco friendly and safe for young children and is made in the USA.2. The beach bucket has a strong rope handle, (so no bending or breaking away from the bucket like plastic ones do)3. Durable and quite stylishCONS1. Pricey (but you can save a few bucks by buying it here on Amazon, which is much cheaper than other retailers and toy stores).OVERALLWorth every penny and will last a lifetime.

Recycles plastic
I liked that this is made from recycled plastics, the rope handle is fantastic. It is so much more well made than the usual beach toys. It’s important to support these companies that use post consumer plastic and make it into useful things.

Sturdy, safe outdoor toy
My toddler loves this set! We've been using it in the garden soil, not sand, and it's been great. The (recycled!) plastic is very thick and sturdy, not at all flimsy like a lot of other sand bucket sets I've seen. The tools are sturdy enough to really dig around in the dirt, so my daughter feels like she's "working" alongside mom and dad. She seriously has so much fun looking for worms and bugs and moving piles of dirt from one spot to another, not to mention collecting all sorts of good stuff (leaves, flowers, etc.) in the bucket. It's a wonderful open-ended outdoor toy. She used it all last summer and it still looks as good as new. I expect we'll get several more years of good use out of it. It's the perfect size for little hands. And, bonus: it's made in the USA.

Incredibly well made to last
This is the best play set you can buy, full stop. Those crappy plastic ones you can buy at the grocery store will break easily, and can only withstand a few hours in the sun before becoming brittle which usually turns into a disposable toy that makes its way into the water.Like other Green Toys products, these are incredibly well built, solid tools that won't snap, and aren't meant to be throwaways. Rope handle is a really nice add on that won't break, snap, or get dislodgeed with a heavy bucket load.Absolutely love these and they are well worth the added cost to not toss in a landfill after a use or two!

The Sturdiest Sand Toy We've Ever Owned
We bought this bucket for our first child five years ago, and soon after bought a second. It has gone through a second child, traveled to the beach, spent it's entire life outside in the sandbox, and looks brand new. The color is blended into the material so there is no chipping, it is thick and sturdy so hasn't cracked despite extreme temperature changes from hot to cold, and the rope handle is still fully functional. The proper rope handle is what got my attention in the first place, and it can be replaced if needed. Other sand toys have come and gone quickly -- cracked plastic buckets, broken handles, snapped shovels, and bent rakes. This company though has built a quality product that can withstand the rigors of the sandbox. Our only issue is that this toy is so nice we are always afraid we are going to lose it at the beach!

Very Sturdy
This pail is such a nice change from the usual pail and shovel sets I had as a kid. With those you'd get a crack down the side of the pail, the handle would break, and the shovel would snap into two pieces, usually in the same season it was purchased. This on the other hand is very sturdy. My 14-month-old doesn't use it in the sand, but he carries things around the house in it. He bangs it around and pretends to "mix" in the bucket with the shovel. He rakes the carpet with the rake. He likes to put the balls from his Plan Toy Punch and Drop inside and swing it around until they fly out. Very open-ended and suitable for indoor and outdoor play. Can't wait to take it to the beach next summer so we can use the castle mold.

I wish I hadn't waited so long to buy it
I finally bought this for my daughter after making do with target dollar section purchases and beach toys that we found at the end of the day. I figured beach toys were cheap and didn't last long so why spend money? and that is the catch-22. they didn't last long because I was buying cheap beach toys and the shovels would break and the handles on the pails would crack. this toy is made to last. it is thick plastic (we have their dump truck, teaset and dish set and it is the same thick, high quality material) and the rope handle is brilliant. I was worried the handle would get messed up from the saltwater, but it didn't. once it dried, it looked as good as new. the colors are a bit brighter then they seem in the picture, which makes it easier to find in the sand.
