Nanogen Keratin Thickening Hair Fibres, 15 g, Auburn

I've been using this product for quite some time, and I've found it to be highly effective. It's simple to use (the fibres are sprinkled onto your head, in much the same way as you talcum powder), and - once you've got the hang of it - takes less than 5 minutes to apply. Once on, the fibres will stay in place for the rest of the day. I do suggest that, should it be a breezy day, you also use a little hair spray - to help hold the fibres in place.This really does create the appearance of having thicker hair. In fact, this can completely conceal very thinning hair. It won't work if you're completely bald, as it requires you having some hair for the fibres to cling to. These fibres don't 'sit' on your scalp - rather, they rest on your existing hair and make it look like you've got a much thicker head of hair.I have "ginger" hair - and I use the auburn fibres. They're a perfect colour match. If you're not happy about having thinning hair, and you prefer the appearance of having a thicker head-full of hair, then I recommend you try this product.The larger 30g item is adequate for a month - although if your hair is very thin, you'll likely need to use twice as much to create the appearance you're after. The negatives are: (1) these fibres are not water proof, so it rains then you'll need to quickly put a hat on; (2) the fibres almost completely fall off while you're in bed - so they'll need to be applied every day, first thing. And you'll need to clean your pillow case more regularly; (3) in one respect, these fibres are TOO good. Once applied, you'll forget about your thinning hair. The results are great. But when you step out of the shower, you'll find yourself reminded of how thin your hair is! As such, you can easily come to rely on these - and that's not a good thing.Overall, an impressive product.Note: to successfully apply these fibres, you'll need two mirrors - one to look into, and another to see the back of your head.

I have something called telogen effluvium and have lost about 30% of my hair over the last few weeks. Gives me horrid shiny scalp and some crown balding. This product has saved me £££s in hair pieces/extensions whilst I wait for it to grown back. See before and after pics.

I have receding hairline and I have been using the following to have a look that looks natural.First, I use nanogen aquamatch on my receding airline area. I use it wisely and tap the rae with my finger to give a shadow. I follow up with nanogen fibres and always use it wisely. Finally nanogen locking spry is must.One complain is that its very expensive and not sure how long can I use it as its already been 3 years.Hair transplant is on the cards !!

After a highly stressful incident three years ago which triggered hair loss, I was very conscious of the scalp on my crown and parting being visible, especially in bright sunlight or when sat under artificial light. This product has been a wonder, I no longer worry about my hair, as the fibres thicken and conceal the areas I was deeply worried about. I found ordering the shade darker than my hair colour looked the most natural, as roots are usually darker. The whole process of ordering and delivery was easy, fast and discreet.

For context, I’m a 40 year old woman with fair skin and dark hair. I got sick to death of seeing myself in photos and my eyes being immediately drawn to how thin (generally and in some patches) my hair is on the top and front of my head. After alopecia and having generally crappy hair genes, I decided to investigate bonded extensions but was advised they would make my hair worse in the long run and I don’t want to go back to wigs, so I found Nanogen and thought I might as well give it a go. This is the answer for me, it fills in the gaps beautifully and it means for the first time in years I can consider wearing my hair up. I find it very easy to apply and it holds very well with the spray. I’m really thrilled to have found it and will keep using it daily.

The product itself is good but recently this is the second time now I’ve received a defective top and the fibres have leaked out into the box, the screw lid doesn’t screw fit like it’s been cross threaded which makes the fibres susceptible to moisture. For the price of this product I expect better care taken in production

well......... i guess to a certain extent this product is useful, if you dont purchase the sealing spray then you will be brushing these little things off of your forehead all day i was reluctant to buy the spray because all the comments on the product page said it smelled awful. i saw other reviewers used hairspray so i tried that but didnt work. i would not purchase this again

The product didn't work for me. The fibres are too yellow and I will keep on using dry shampoo as it works much better and helps my hair look thicker.
