This urn is very poorly designed. In fact it's dangerous. The lid doesn't fit tightly enough, so whenever the water boils the lid shakes and rattles and twists open, causing huge volumes of steam pour into the room.Add to this the worst ever customer service I've ever experienced from an Amazon seller. It took my around 10 emails to finally get them to agree to a refund. There are so many other urns to choose from, why put yourself through inevitable diappoinment and frustration by buying this one. I ended up paying £10 more for a VonChef model which works like a dream. Avoid this urn, and especially this seller, like the plague.

My family have been using it now daily for a month and we've not had any issues we are using it in a home and not for catering purposes. Limescale is an issue in the area but it doesn't affect the tea like a normal house kettle does. Easy to clean

Urn was being used every other day described as sturdy and will last it didn't it was used as a household item 6 months and completely dead no lights won't heat up not worth the money
