Delicious π
I absolutely love this tea, either in form of tea bags or loose tea. It is aromatic with rose water, or the specific rose water I recall from the city of Shiraz!I drink it as hot tea in the evening or I drop a tea bag in 80 oz cold water in a Yetti container and enjoy the amazingly delicious cold-infused tea all day long. The cold infused tea (as water flavorant) version of it preserve the rose flavor and smell and it doesn't taste like cooked roses! Not sure how else to explain it.It also gives your water a hint of sweetness which I think is because of stevia leaves.Because I am drinking this daily, I checked the chemical ingredient of Tulsi tea, since Tulsi Basil is not a common herb in our North American diet. The actual name is Ocimum Sanctum with several medicinal properties, so if you are on medications, especially blood thinner or blood pressure meds or hypoglycemics, consult your pharmacist or doctor.I suggest everyone try it at least once! Just delicious and refreshing π π

Tulsi Tea
I had read some interesting stories about the benefits of Tulsi tea and decided to try it. While no scientific evidence has proven its stated benefits, it has been in use for thousands of years and is known for its strong antioxidant capabilities. Since I am kind of a health nut, I decided to give it a taste.Purported benefits of Tusli tea (also called "holy basil") include:- Strengthens the immune system, promotes longevity and enhances well-being.- Promotes heart health by lowering cholesterol and high blood pressure.- Reduces the negative physical and psychological effects of stress.- Increases the body's efficiency in using oxygen, which improves stamina, strength and endurance.- Promotes respiratory health.- Helps with digestion and gastrointestinal problems.- degenerative diseases and premature aging.- Facilitates healthy liver function.- Reduces cell and tissue damage from sun rays, radiation therapy and other radiation sources.- Relieves inflammation from arthritis and other diseases.- Helps fight infections.Amazon.com is usually the first place I look for a new product I would like to try as Amazon.com has great prices and free shipping on a lot of items. So, I ordered this tea to give it a try. I gave some boxes to my daughter who is also a health nut and I thought she would like it.The tea tastes very good and I am glad I added it to my stash of tea. It has a pleasant flavor on a cold winter evening. Something new and different. I am a pragmatic person and don't believe all that I read about foods like this, but if there is even 1/10 of its potential benefits that are true, then I am adding to my own health bank account to ensure that I am around for a long time.
