Fingerprint - Your bio-metrics is your key. You always carry it with you wherever you go. This has been my most preferred way of unlocking the door whenever I need to pass through. You can set numerous finger prints, one for each finger, and for each member of the family.2. Pass code - You can set a pass code for every member of the house. The pass code needs to be punch on the keypad to gain access to the house. Pass codes can be of different types. You can create a pass code that is permanent. Pass codes can be set for one-time use only. If you are expecting someone at a certain time, you can generate a pass code that will be valid for a certain period. You can also create a pass code that will be valid for an entire day (24 hours). You can even set a pass code that will be enabled on a recurring basis and that too for a certain period only, for e.g. every Sunday, between 8 and 9 AM.3. RFID cards - The smart lock comes with 3 RFID cards that can be configured to unlock the smart lock. While, this is another option that one might use, it requires you to carry the card with you just like a key.4. Tuya app - The smart lock is compatible with the Tuya app which is used to configure your fingerprints, pass codes, RFID cards. You can use the app to unlock the smart lock. The app uses a Wifi connection to pair your phone with the smart lock and requires you to be in close proximity of the lock to be able lock and unlock the door.5. Physical key - A pair of keys are included just in case the above 4 methods do not work. Using the physical key will unlock the door, but this option should be your last resort to gain entry into the house and should only be used as a backup, otherwise it just defeats the purpose of the smart lock.6. Remote unlock - It can be used to unlock the door from anywhere in the world as long as the app is connected to the internet. Some may argue that why would we ever want to unlock the main door remotely, but it may come in handy at times. I use this feature to unlock the main door from the bedroom or kitchen which is far from the door.1. You can set the lock to automatically lock the door after a defined interval. This way, you don't have to worry about locking the door after unlocking it.2. You can generate e-keys for every member of the house and make them admins to configure and operate the smart lock.3. You can keep track of all the operations that were carried out in the smart lock. You can check when was the door unlocked, how was it unlocked and who was it unlocked by. The app stores all the information in logs that are accessible to device admins.4. You can turn on audible alerts on the smart lock and enable voice prompts.The smart lock requires 4 AA batteries that are included in the package. After using the smart lock for a month, the remaining battery still shows 100%. It is supposed to last for a year.Installation of this smart lock can be done by you, although I suggest you have someone else to help you as the outer and inner panels are quite heavy and needs at least two people to install. If there is any woodwork required to fit the internal lock in the door, then I strongly suggest you hire a carpenter who can fit the lock. Once, the main lock is installed, the two panels can be installed by anyone.The lock handle can be arranged on both left and right side depending on the orientation of your door, but I suggest you ask the seller to change the handle direction before placing the order, as it is tricky to do this on your own.With all the features that are bundled in this smart lock, this is an extremely attractive and premium product and I definitely recommend you to purchase it.
