We ended up ordering 1 full size down to fit the shoe. So they run large. My husband is 8 1/2, and we ended up with a 7 1/2 that fit.

I did not start wearing the shoes yet. I was having Bates before and I was very happy with them. Thorogood is lighter than the Bates and more comfortable. When I actually wear them for sometime, I can talk more about the details.
