This is my third pump but the first time I bought THIS ONE. This is the best one I have had. It pumps very well and I have had no problems with it. My fountain is about 4 ft. high. Keeps the water flowing consistently. It is nice and small so it fits great with a smaller area. Has as much power as slightly larger ones I have had. A little powerhouse!

Ability to adjust water height is a big plus. Birdbath water does get dirty and the pump can easily get plugged up. I easily fixed that with mesh used in gardens the prevent weeds coming up. Cut a large circle and pull up sides and tie around power cord to make a lose bag. Also need to make a very small hole where the tubing attaches to the pump. This greatly helps preventing the pump from getting plugged up and greatly increases time between cleanings! Would be a 5 star if they had a secondary filter like a bag that comes with the pump.

I bought 2 of these to use with small fountain spitters in my outdoor pond. I’ve now gone through a total of 4 and they keep randomly dying on me. They’ll be running fine and then all of a sudden they’re really noisy and won’t push water through with enough power. I’ve tried taking apart and cleaning, putting them in a mesh bag to prevent debris getting in, no luck. I am stuck with 2 because the return window closed before they stopped working. Waste of money.

The snap fit plastic parts that make up the housing don’t fit as snuggly as they should, but it works well enough for my purposes (doing periodic water changes in aquariums)
