we were so excited for this bone and out pup loved it as his Christmas present! we would allow him to have it for about an hour then take it away. I am glad I checked this morning before just giving it to him, it grew mold and there were worms all over it! First bone we have issues with, so upset.

This bone is huge which is both a great thing for longevity and a terrible thing for keeping my dog's interest. It was so heavy that I couldn't really throw it for fear of damaging something but she couldn't figure out how to pick it up and chew it either. This left me holding the bone while the little monster happily chewed on the ends for a while. She broke off several pieces from the sides, particularly the round corners, and seemed to enjoy eating them but after that first night there was very little that I could do to get her interested in it again beyond an occasional lick. Most of the time, she would actively move her face away from it as if it was unpleasant near her nose. I'm not sure if this is because of what was on the bone or simply her being picky, but parts on the bone did appear to rapidly turn a darker color. I also can't say for sure if this will happen with others who get this bone, but with less than 12-hours of use, I can't recommend this based on my experience.

I buy these for my pitbull every year around Halloween. The thickness is perfect for decorating. I slap a shoe on it and have her chew on the bone to scare the treat-or-treaters. The longevity lasts all night long.

This bone is huge! Our big dog wasn't sure what to do with it at first. Turns out the answer is to carry it around and trot away from the other dog if she gets too close.

We thought we had our German Shepards incessant chewing beat when we found this mega femur bone and to be ABSOLUTELY HONEST so far this is the best option. It gets his attention focused on chewing the bone instead of himself and he is doing much better. Recently we found another contender in the fight that helps immenselyThat is the NATURAL BULLY STICK. I will make a review on that items page. But for normal dogs this FEMUR BONE IS A GREAT INVESTMENT FOR YOUR 4 legged family member.
