Besides being a great help for slicing onions, this is an excellent gizmo for use in home dehydrating and freeze-drying of blueberries, cherries, cherry tomatoes or anything that requires piercing the skin to speed the drying process. The tines are sturdy and very sharp and quickly stab in without mashing the fruit or vegetable, and the design of the handle makes for a good grip, especially when processing 10 lbs. of produce at a whack. I was a little dubious about the "magic soap" for removing onion and garlic smell from my hands, but it actually does help.I also like the bonus egg slicer. It's larger than most (big enough to do a goose egg), meaning that bits aren't falling over the side as you try to rotate the egg.I'm impressed with the design and quality of both items, but the onion slicer especially is one of the most useful and versatile kitchen tools I've purchased in a long time.

After almost and sometimes actually cutting my fingers slicing onions, which I love,, I finally looked for something to help me hold the onion and slice it into thin pieces. I liked the look of the Arel Best holder and took a chance for a few bucks. Upon arrival, I was happy to note that it was even nicer than I thought it would be. It's very solid and allows me to keep my fingers intact even when slicing onions very thinly. The egg cutter made the deal even better and is also a quality product.

I like the onion slicer although it provides for rather thick slices. Quality of the metal slicer looks excellent. Thank you for the ‘free’ egg slicer! I really needed that. Hope it is as durable as it is made of all plastic.

Awesome! Slicing wires on a frame that slips out for cleaning. how cool is that! I thought I broke it right away but no it popped right back in. I am always "icked" over did I miss a piece or not. Getting my veg brush down in there to get every bit, if I'm worried now no problem! Onion slicer nice bonus for my guys who aren't up on knife skills. Bet it would work for tomatoes too!

Well made,strong, and does a good job, saves the fingers for sure. Mine came with bonus egg slicer, also worked good, a vary good deal.

This was much bigger than expected, but I'm glad it is. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Just what I remembered of one I used to have. The onion slicer works for slicing tomatoes perfectly for burgers or BLTs. Nice heft to the holder, it shouldn’t fall apart. The egg slicer is great for adding boiled egg to salads or making egg salad.
