The ES-50 model is only compatible with computers running Windows 7, 8, 10 or Mac OS 10.11 - 10.14 and requires a USB port. You would want to consider the ES-60W, which is the version of the scanner that has wireless connectivity. The ES-50 is a retail product and comes with the ScanSmart software for easy document management and optional accounting features. The DS-70 is the commercial version and comes with Document Capture Pro for creating scan jobs that can be run from the scanner's button. - The Epson Scanner Team

Q: Once you scan a document, can you set it up where the document will it go directly to your drop box?

After you scan the document, there are many options - save, attach to email, send to google drive, dropbox, evernote, one drive, word, excel, powerpoint. You may need to download another app, but then you login to your account, select a folder, filename and format of jpeg, pdf or searchable pdf. One very important thing is to come up with a standard naming format since the software defaults to "document 20190128_001" style of format. I'm using a "20190128 vendor purpose" format and then filing in a client/function specific folder. A bit of work on input, but it will be easier to locate later. I am also starting with current year material and will decide what to scan of past papers after I have a bit of experience on going digital.

stopped working

I loved this product when it arrived, but only used it a few times and it just stopped working, despite trying new connections, multiple computers. Instructions say to attach USB directly to computer - my MAC OS laptop doesn't have a USB port. Big disappointment. Makes me hesitant to order a replacement.
