Dragon Too Backhoe Toy Truck Friction Powered Construction Vehicle (16 Inches)

I gave this to my toddler for Christmas. Now, seven days later, it’s broken in three places. The plastic tabs holding the back hoe’s arm to the tractor broke, a tab holding the front bucket broke, and a tab holding the back bucket broke. The plastic was just too thin to stand up to toddler play. I shouldn’t have gone the cheap route and opted for a sturdier brand.

This toy was opened by my 3 year old boy on December 25, 2019 at 8:24 am. It broke within hours of play. It is very, very cheap plastic with very small pieces for articulation seemingly designed to break easily. The backhoe has what seems almost like a breakaway design built in and one can only speculate as to why, perhaps knowing the design was flawed from the beginning. One of the feet designed to anchor the backhoe broke off completely. The front loader plastic mounting, also way too delicate, broke off after a couple hours of play and was not repairable as the claws designed to hold it broke off while he was playing. Please do not waste your money and buy a known brand. We ended up going to a store today, the day after Christmas, so that we could make it up to our little guy and bought a popular brand name that we could inspect for ourselves for a very comparable price. Coming home this evening, our little guy was literally sitting on it and I didn’t have to worry about it falling apart on him like this one. I am returning the item tomorrow and I will let you know if there are any issues with that.

First one I got had a defect but seller instantly replaced it with one that is perfect. My nearly 4 year old grandson loves it. Broke a few days after this review but the backhoe that broke off is one of his favorite toys.

Smaller than expected, my fault for not looking at dimensions.This truck has a LOT of small pieces that come apart and can be put back together.It makes the truck really fun to play with, however not great for younger children. My son is constantly "breaking" it, and asking me to "fix" it.

Broke barely after 5 minutes of play. The plastic is very cheap. The backhoe kept popping off with any motion, till it finally broke completely off and can't be put back on. I don't really understand why anyone would make a cheap tractor toy, because kids who want tractor toys usually want to dig with them (and this one didn't even make it to outside play)

Very realistic in design and function. The only bad thing about it is that bc it’s so realistic some parts can break easily. With in 2 days my son broke off the “digger”. I warned him upnfront that it wasn’t as durable as his Tonka trucks but he’s 4 so he didn’t listen. He claims to like it better this way as a 4 wheel loader instead of a backhoe. The rest of the toy is holding up well. It has survived bath time, bed time, truck smashes, and lots of other play.

I got this for my 3 year old's birthday and he does not play overly rough but because this truck has so many parts that are supposed to be able to move (buckets and scoops that swivel, turn and dig) all of these pieces easily broke as the plastic would just crack. One piece broke immediately upon getting it out of the package. Less than a month later, both buckets have come off. I understand it is plastic and only $14 but I still expected it to withstand play for a bit before having damage. Would not buy again.

Great backhoe toy, my son loves It! He is quite rough with it and has accidentally taken things off, but I have been able to put them back on.
