Compact for adventure motorcycle trips in the mountains
The XP-3 fits nicely in my small day trip panniers. I own the XP-1 and the XP-10. Very satisfied with these Antigravity products. My KTM 790 adventure R is electric start only, no kick starter. It’s nice to know that I can jumpstart my bike if needed.

Does NOT come with a charger
I have the original of this item and LOVE it; I have used it to jump my Silverado in below zero weather, kept my cell phone charged in the vehicle while using the it as a navigational device on a long trip, and charged my laptop when there was no handy wall plug. So I ordered this one as a gift. The original model comes with a plug-in-the-outlet charger. I did not realize this was a different model and notice that the only way to charge the battery is by USB. I DID see in the Q &A that someone (incorrectly) answered that is DOES come with a charger. Now, if the reason you are buying this is to charge those USB devices, apparently you are supposed to charge this battery with the devices you are trying to charge! Since my friend does not use ANY modern technology, this is problematic. I periodically bring mine inside to charge the battery and then have it in the car when I'm on the go. I can charge my cell phone, gps, laptop, etc. Why would I want to use THOSE devices to charge the battery that I'm using to charge the devices with? IF this is an issue for you, go with the XP-1 model so you have a charger. Other than that issue, this is a powerful battery.

Good Product
I've had this item for about 6 months now to help with a car that occasionally drains the battery due to a faulty switch in the brake arm. I would leave work to find a car with a dead battery in an otherwise empty parking lot, so I was looking for an option to jump start the car without needing another car around (or a long walk).Of course, I've had no problems with my car since, but on the initial charge, I've jumped the neighbor's car 3 times (6-cyl sedan) and a just-off-duty waitress' pickup truck (8-cyl) once; all with no fuss and the vehicles all started up immediately. All jumps were performed in weather between 30 and 40 degrees Fahrenheit. The item sells itself. I now have a neighbor and know a waitress that will be purchasing one of these. After the 4 jumps, the battery reports that it still has more than half a charge. (3 out of 4 indicators are lit, but to be safe I'm assuming it is somewhere between 50 and 75%)If nothing else, this product brings piece of mind to know I won't get stranded with a dead battery.I have already recommended this product to two people and would recommend this to a friend.

A must have.
This is the kind of product I hope I never need but I feel so much better knowing it’s in my car. I never have to worry about waiting for somebody to jumpstart me again and I always have power for my iPhone, laptop, tablet etc. it also allows me to be a good Samaritan if somebody else needs a jump. The flashlight built-in is a big bonus and I wish I knew about this sooner. I first bought the HD deluxe model and spent 200 bucks which I’m not disappointed about but it’s probably more than I ever need. So I bought the “3” model for my other car. Buy it. It costs the same as one road service and have a smartphone dead battery could be very inconvenient.

Does a great job
I normally don’t write reviews but I love this product. My brother gave me this and I found it so easy to use. My car battery would not start after getting gas. Guys just standing around, waiting to see if I’d ask for help. Winter time too.. Got this product from my trunk, hooked it up and restarted the car. The whole process in getting the product and returning it in the trunk after use took 2 mins. I love this product so much I bought one for a dear friend. They also provided cable with different ends so you can charge other things ie. phone. Great for emergencies. It also doesn’t take long to recharge. I love this product.

Not Useful for Starting
Have had the XP-3 for a year and it is great for charging small consumer devices such as phones, but my primary intention was to use it to augment the battery on my 2014 750cc Aprilia twin motorcycle for starting in cool weather. Whenever the temp drops below 55 deg. F it will turn over but often not quite fast enough for it to fire and run if its battery is more than a year or so old. I had been using electric motor batteries from my radio control airplanes connected to an accessory harness to assist but I figured I should get a "proper" start assist device. Seeing as the documentation for the XP-3 stated that it could start a 5L V8 I figured giving my 750cc twin a small bit of assist should be no problem at all. WRONG. After numerous tries trying different methods of connection the XP-3 has no discernable effect whatsoever on improving the starting of my motorcycle in cool weather. None at all. Very disappointing considering the much, much smaller batteries (2500mah - 3300mah compared to the supposed 8000mah of the XP-3) I use in my RC planes have more than enough oomph to get the motorcycle running. I have absolutely no idea at all where all the positive reviews for the XP-3 regarding vehicle starting come from, my experience indicates there is no chance the XP-3 will help start any vehicle that is need of battery assistance.
