Works well.
It is great and useful and works with elitedesk 800 g5 well. I have usb c display port on it with no problem.

Perfect
Genuine article works perfectly in a Prodesk 600 G4 Mini. They are not shown in the photo but the package includes the necessary screws, which I was worried about not having. The is so much better than having to goof around with DP and USB cables. Now I have a 1-cable solution for display, keyboard, and mouse.

Great design and operation!
Got mine used for $12 on EBay. Was genuine HP. Popping out the 3rd Display Port on my wife's Elitedesk 800 G5 mini and replacing it with this USB-C took all of 15 minutes including testing. Required only a small Phillips head driver and small, plastic pry bar. Great design and great product/seller. In my case, I did NOT have to make any BIOS changes - although I looked first before and after install and did not find anything except that the rear USB-C port was immediately recognized and listed in the USB port section.

Compatibility
Compatible with Elitedesk 705 g4 dm, video out, no charging/pd, meaningful anyway.

Not for G5 Mini
Was hoping that his would work on HP Prodesk 400 G5 Mini. it does not. It fits but computer would not boot up with it installed. Delivery was fast. Product looked new.

** Needs a workaround ** - Works Great
Works great. But only AFTER going into the system setup and unchecking "USB Type-C Controller Firmware Update" under Advanced -> Port Options in the F10 menu. This option is enabled by default.If not, it will try to update the firmware on every boot. In my case I got no display after that completed.You might also want to save that to your custom default settings. Especially if you're going to use this for your primary display. (Which works great!)
