This cleanser is great except I feel like I’m washing my face with perfume. I wish they made this unscented.

I want to start by saying I have incredibly difficult skin that even at 34 have still never been able to figure out. I still have prominent acne and I feel like I’ve tried everything in the book with no luck. I was once told my skin is dry by an esthetician, even though I’ve always felt it was oily, so I’ve tried a couple times to try more moisturizing products. I liked that this product had a different type of moisturizing ingredient that I hadn’t tried before so I thought I’d give it a shot.I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the bottle. By the pictures I thought it was going to be smaller.It has a more perfume-y scent but thankfully it wasn’t a scent that triggered my normally very sensitive nose into a headache.I like that it’s foaming. I always feel like foaming products last so much longer/go much further.While rinsing it off my face, it felt almost slimy like I couldn’t fully rinse it off. My OCD likes for my skin to feel squeaky clean after washing which is why I suspect the esthetician thought I had dry skin. I assume the slimey feel though is the moisturizers and probably actually good for my skin.After using it a couple times (I wash my face twice a day) I did start to notice that slightly tight feeling in my face immediately after that makes me feel like it’s truly clean.Unfortunately after about a week of use I had to discontinue as my face started feeling very oily and started breaking out even in places I don’t usually break out such as my cheekbone.I think this product could be great for most people, it’s got some great things going for it but it’s just not right for me. I never hold it against the product though because like I said I’ve tried almost everything under the sun with very little success.
