Lifetime 60040 Deck Box, 130 Gallon, Desert Sand

I don't understand how anyone could complain that this box is too difficult to assemble. The instructions are in several languages and include excellent, easy-to-follow, diagrams and drawings. The hardware is drawn full size so it's nearly impossible to make a mistake. The instructions have nice little touches such as warnings to NOT put hardware in certain holes.It was well packed and I was able to assemble it by myself in 40 minutes. If you can't change a light bulb, don't try to assemble this box. But if you can make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, you'll be just fine. You don't even have to read. I went strictly by the diagrams since the written instructions are not really needed, but they're a nice bonus.The engineering is good and the box has a good strength-to-weight ratio. I bought another one three years ago for swimming pool gear and it's completely weather proof and looks brand new in spite of being in the sun and weather.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

It kept all my stuff dry & protected during the recent Helene hurricane winds & rain. Its looks great and is solid as a rock. Wasn’t difficult to put together either, took less than an hour. Would definitely buy this brand again. 100% Recommend

Perfect storage trunk! Also, its a great toy for the kids to use while your building it, my kids played in this thing for hours and then I had to kick them out. Multi functional for sure! :) Oh, also withstands severe weather and looks great!

This is a great storage box - I had one before. However I can't give it five stars because of assembly instructions and parts. The instruction and hardware did not match up as well as they should have. The hinges required some extra drilling in order to get the bolts installed as did the reinforcing bar. That said the box is a worthwhile purchase and once put together is great.

Yep, got another one! These are great for storing stuff out in our covered area. I use them to store and keep pellets dry for my grill. My wheels/tires to keep them out of the elements. Grilling lights and other cleaning things we store out there. Easy to set up (watch the video, way easier to follow that than the instructions!)

My parents have had this box by their pool for several years. I finally bought one for myself and couldn't be happier. It's great quality, fairly easy to put together, and holds a lot of stuff! My parents has held up very well for years so I don't see there being an issue with that. Finally all my kids outside toys are in one place!

Very well built. Not much of a challenge to put together and the videos were a big help. Very happy with the quality and size. I purchased a somewhat less expensive slightly smaller deck box and had to return it because it came smashed up. The pieces were thin and fragile. The lifetime box is sturdy and made in America.. Highly recommended !

I have both the Rubbermaid and this Lifetime. I have had them both for YEARS. Recently, I have made some changes on the patio and wanted the storage boxes to match. I looked at them both. This one has a cylinder to open and close the box, the Rubbermaid has a plastic strap. Rubbermaid has no reinforcement on the cover, Lifetime has a metal strip inside the front lid horizontally.BOTH are still functional but this one is less expensive and better made. So, I opted to move the Rubbermaid to the barn and put this one next to the existing on the porch. Success!
