Prior to this I bought a Supermarkets own brand because they'd stopped doing my favourite tartare sauce. It was rubbish, very strong in flavours and vinegary!This Stokes Tartare Sauce is just right. It doesn't overpower the delicate flavour of fish, but compliments it nicely. It also goes well with sliced cooked ham. Who'd have thought ;-)

Great for fish and chips. Really nice flavour, tastes quite subtle, but it's really nice and creamy. I do kind of like it more tangy, but the subtle creaminess is delicious all told. Time for more chips!

Good consistency and taste, these jars are well priced, and I would buy again. Used to make chicken nanban which I highly recommend! Worth mentioning that it's not the sharpest tartare sauce, certainly much more creamy than many I have tried - obviously this will be a matter of taste!

Good value for the quality and taste. I would’ve preferred more pickles but the rest of the family love it as they are.

Some other tartare sauces taste quite sour. Not this one.Very happy to replace mayo with this tartare sauce now and then for extra variety.

This tartare sauce is literally to die for! It has a great consistency, flavour and has some little bits in which provide some texture. I find it tangy, but not too tangy that it overpowers the fish that you put with it. I can definitely believe that it is award winning, and I will definitely be getting more of this soon, and it has definitely trumped my local shop's tartare sauce!

This pack contains 3 x 200 g jars of Stokes tartare sauce (best before November 2024). It’s absolutely delicious! It’s a good, thick consistency (with lots of bits in it), and it’s creamy with a nice tang. It’s lovely with scampi and other fish dishes, but it's also nice as an alternative dip for chips, garlic mushrooms, and other nibbles. Overall, I’m very impressed with the taste and will definitely reorder when I run out. Thank you for taking the time to read my review.
