It has a very good flavor, just a tad salty. I usually just add 1/2 can of corn, or green beans to it to make a quick meal.

Great for chilidogs! It is hard to go wrong with Hormel's chili recipe. Averaging around $2.80 a can for this 12 pack, it is a good deal to keep you stocked up on canned chili. Is it better than homemade chili, no. Is it great chili in a pinch, yes. Do note the sodium content. If you were to take down a whole can you are looking at close to 80% of your DV. If you have a salt intolerance or are on a low sodium diet, I would steer clear from this or do not eat a lot of it. Like most canned foods, the sodium levels are high, so this should not be surprising. The than that, my family loved it and the fact that it is all meat means those picky eaters should love it.....since there are no beans!
