Kempton Hallway Storage Bench and Wall Storage Shelf Rack with Coat Hooks - Perfect Shoe Storage Unit (White)

Bought this as a Christmas present for son in law and his family. They have 2 small boys so neede more space in the Hall. They are very pleased with it.

I really like this item. Easy to assemble and looks great!

Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances i was only able to put together the base unit which I was very pleased with. Today, however, my son decided to put together the coat unit for me whilst I was at work. The unit is a completely different colour (dark wood) with a few marks and digs in the wood. Can not be used due to this.

Items arrived on separate days which is odd but both arrived by stated date.The scant description should serve as a warning to prospective purchasers, the lack of detail on materials used means you cannot argue that it's poor quality when you don't know exactly what you should be expecting. Oh and it's self assembly!Low grade MDF, low quality plastic coating which chips and scuffs easily, ill fitting fixings all go to make up this cheap looking expensive piece.The worst bits are the plastic circles which resemble uncut hole reinforcement rings used in ring binders and the awful cushion cover which makes it look like it is unfinished. I'm sure if I spend another £20 on accessories it will look better!

Patience to assemble but simple enough. Didn't like the white circle stickers to cover the screw holes makes it look too cheap. Didn't use them ordered my own white screw caps. Fabulous look in hallway.

I am surprised at the poor quality of this item. It's practical but it's ugly. It seems like coated chipboard, which in places is coming up, all the screws show and they supply stickers to cover holes on the visible parts of it! If you need something for somewhere where it won't be seen it's fine but if you need to look at it don't bother.
