Aug 2018:I bought this for my DELL Inspiron 5558. It replaced the battery directly no issues.I waited a few days to test the battery and write this review. I compared the data to the Original Battery shown below.Original Dell Battery-Design Capacity (expected): 41 Wh-Full charge Capacity (actual): 36 WhElemusi M5Y1k battery-Design Capacity (expected): 32.6 Wh-Full charge Capacity (actual): 28.4 WhAlthough the battery is the right part and direct fit, I simply cannot rate it 5 stars. The company claims 38Wh with this battery and It doesn't even come close. This is the most crucial aspect of a battery, for this reason I had to rate it 2 stars. I hope this helps someone else. It dies in 10 minutes, so its officially no longer a laptop, its a desktop that needs to stay plugged in.Cannot recommend this product, very disappointed.

I waited to write the review until I was sure the battery performed to fire up my device and could be relied on whenever it was called on. It passed every test and was the correct wattage to allow the processors to do their magic.And, the year warranty. For a battery? Why didn't Energizer think of that.Shipping. Free shipping with Prime and it took only one day to take my laptop off the extension cord and back where it belongs.Remember, all batteries are not equal and one size will not fit all devices. It is important to be able to rely on a company that sends you the correct part to get you back running again. This company passed with flying colors.

I wanted to definitely weigh in with a review for this battery because I've read of a lot of different experiences both good and bad using third party batteries with Dell laptops. I had a charging issue, which luckily boiled down to the charging cable. Due to my amature computer troubleshooting skills, I tried replacing the battery first and bought different third party battery that didn't charge due to the power cable. I can't verify how that battery would have performed since I ruined it by letting it sit dormant in the laptop for a really long time but it had good reviews like this one. I did some reseach and saw that Dell strongly instists that you use only their OEM replacement batteries. I also had seen some people reporting success with using third party batteries so once I found that my charging problem wasn't the battery, I took a shot with this battery because of the lower price compared to Dell's OEM replacement. I've had it installed in the computer and I've been using it for 3 days. It works great. The charge lasts between 3-4 hours based on light duty use (productivity apps/web browsing/streaming video and audio) in a Dell Inspiron 5558. That battery life is just a very rough estimate. I haven't systematically tested it but it is plenty of battery life for me to run around with the laptop away from the charger and use confidently for 3 hours. Could longer if put to sleep when idle. I'm sure the charge life will vary based on the type of use.I definitely recommend this battery based on my experience with it. It's a good bet since this one is $26 vs Dell OEM $109. I was happy when I first installed it and my DELL laptop showed promise of having longer battery life. After approx. 3 months of use, I couldn't charge it to 100%. At first it only charged to 85% and just stayed at that level even after an hour. Per advice from technical support on the internet about this condition, I drained the battery to 0% which caused the laptop to power down, then removed the battery and replaced it, and charged it normally. This time round it would only charge to 76% and stayed at that level even after overnight charging. It also drains faster than when I just received it. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!********************************UPDATE:R.I.P. † JANUARY 27, 2020No longer holds a charge. Not only that, it is unseen by DELL BIOS. Completely DEAD!

I purchased this battery to replace the original one in my Dell Inspiron 15. It worked great until one day, it just didn't anymore. I only used it for about 4 months before it wouldn't hold a charge any longer. Worst of all, I can't seem to claim my warranty, which should cover it.DO NOT RECOMMEND

I needed a replacement battery for my Dell laptop so I went to the OEM's website first. Their price point was not within my budget, so I searched Amazon for the exact specs listed on the Dell website and found this battery at a remarkable markdown with a one-year guarantee. It was shipped promptly and works exactly like advertised. The battery will hold a charge for almost 3 hours doing intense post-processing tasks in PhotoShop, or watching online videos. I am satisfied with this product for the minimal investment made.

My certain Dell Inspiron computer refuses to recognize this battery because it says its not a Dell. It may be an issue with my computer, because the reviews are really good on this battery. I am currently working with the company on a refund, so I will come back and fix this post as to whether this is carried through with.Update; They (Bacon) were nice to work with. At first, I gave a low review because it didn’t work for me. Bacon, felt I’d possibly gotten a defective battery, and offered to replace it, but by the time he read my review, I’d already purchased one from Dell. They nicely refunded my money. When this one goes out, I will try them again.
