I tried modifying this bracket for a project and learned first hand that this metal is surprisingly durable compared to the cost.(I tried creating a larger diameter hole at the top)I expected the bracket to bend while I was applying downward force and drilling into it but it, not only half it's shape but was a pain to drill into with me low/mid tier step bit + drill bit.I think if you're podlights use 6mm bolts, you're fine. I think all the thread need lock tite but other than that, I gets my recommendation.

This is a very well built, high quality mount that was very easy to install on my 2018 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. It is a stable, solid, secure mount & easily adapted to my Baja Design LED pod lights. I saw them in use on the Fearless Trailhawk channel on YouTube. That gentleman is very happy with these mounts. I fully expect that I will as well.

A lot smaller then photo shows. First try with a little bumped and hood bent. And then small lights mounted in grill well they were dangling buy the wire. Not much gripping with a couple of allen screws brackets are not worth the time or money. Sorry guys make them bigger so it least the small lights don't bounce all over. And the screw that you want to hold light on top bracketing come on your cant mount the lights with that. Oh well bent is but a road away.

These are basically only roof mounts in the market to keep low profile mountings for LED light bars.ONLY THING TO CONSIDER: when mounting to my hood the rubber cover that comes with these brackets need to come off. They were sliding off the tighter I screwed them on the bracket was moving or sliding out of place. So I had to slip off the rubber cover. They look nice but they don't help.Also you have to open the hood to install and use a hex or small screw tool to tighten this mount to the hood. Problem I had is the threading was stribbing or the hex started to slip and began to slip the hex holes which caused the tool not to grip or tighten. So I had to shove the next hex tool size, tap with a hammer and basically force the tool into the screw hole in order to tighten in place. So just keep in mind hard to find the right hex head to fit the screw hole. It begins to slip. You'll end up forcing it to keep it tight. But once in place I dont plan on removing.Over all does what I need and looks good. It's hidden from migh lights so I'm ok with the bracket being exposed.

I ordered these brackets for my 2014 Ram 2500. I was gonna go camping that weekend and came in just in time. Installed in minutes and great product. And I just ordered another set for my Xterra. Great customer service and product.TIP: when tightening the small screws, do little by little to each of them that way you get even pressure clamping the edge of the hood. 🤙🏼

Installed per requirements. No installations in the box. The set screws were too short and had to upgrade them to longer hex head bolts. The bolt that came with these to mount light to the bracket was too long and went through the provided thin rubber and DAMAGED THE PAINT ON MY HOOD DOWN THE THE BARE METAL!

One of them stripped it's self out for the light mount part and both can't get tight enough to keep pod lights from moving around
