Nanogen Keratin Hair Fibers,, 30-grams, White

Let's face it, no one wants to need this. It would be nice to have a full head of hair. I cringe every time my new, very tall boyfriend kisses the top of my head. I live in anticipation of rain and try to never get caught without umbrella or hat, and don't even get me started on swimming...With that said, this is working well. I have caboki, which works fine, too. But I think nanogen has a slight edge for me. It sits more on the hair than the scalp, which looks less powdery and more natural on me. The color is a good match. I hate hairspray, so I have used both nanogen and caboki without spray. Some of it comes off on the inside of my sunhat or bike helmet and I sometimes reapply during the day. I usually clean little particles off my forehead when I get to work. They are not super visible, but something is always there. This seems to not transfer too much to bedsheets, and is pretty easy to wash the sink down after using. But it's lot of work that I did not have to do before hair loss. I am working on being more accepting of my body.Update: The color match did not look quite right in broad daylight - caboki was a dark chocolate brown (a better match for me), and this looks more blackish. I also found some transfer on the pillowcases. But the way it sits on the hair and the way it fades in a natural, not splotchy way are both good.

I am in love with Nanogen! I had reconciled with having to wear wigs to even be able to step out of the house. I am a woman close to 40, who is now seeing a huge line of scalp where I part my hair all the way from the front and part way down the back. So my hair has thinned effusively all over, but that line, and an especially thinning area near my hairline next to my forehead has me self-conscious from the moment I'm out of bed to the moment I sleep. It is embarrassing and it definitely takes a huge toll on self-confidence. I tried a wig but it never felt natural. In a desperate measure to seek solutions before a family re-union, I came across videos of Nanogen.Here's what I love about it:1. No one can tell - And I mean no one. My kids and husband came home when I first received and applied Nanogen. I did not say anything for a few minutes, and they kept staring at me. They knew something was different but couldn't place their finger on it. Just said that I looked great, younger somehow (Yeah!). I told them and then immediately took them out where I was in the sun for them to look carefully to see if they could tell. I can tell you that I've done this test multiple times. I will stop on my way into the mall or somewhere else when the sun is shining on me, and just ask them to look everywhere and see if they can tell that it's not my hair. And they can't. My family or friends have not been able to either. I FINALLY look forward to taking pictures again.2. So Easy - It took me about three tries to perfect the density and look I wanted with Nanogen. Just how much and where. It helps to have access to a well lit place where you can see what you're doing. I have a combination of mirrors I use to verify that the back of my head now looks okay. But you will learn to pretty much place a finger in your bald spat and with the other hand, guide the Nanogen bottle to the finger and pat to get results exactly where you need them. The texture is just like hair too so I like it.3. It stays on - I don't wash my hair everyday. Once I have applied this and lightly sprayed on my hairspray on it, it stays for days. I have also used it without hairspray. I find that some of it falls off while I sleep but I still see some results the next day with it. Wind, rain etc do not make a difference. And for those of you who don't have hair, you know how big a deal it is to go out in the wind and rain when you're afraid that your barely there hair will get messed up and your bald spots will start showing.4. Better than the competition - I could not bring myself to try on Toppik due to the chemical and color issues with it. I did order Caboki at the same time as I ordered this. I like Caboki too. But Caboki is more like powder that settles on my scalp so sometimes can look like i painted it. Nanogen is a fiber that sits on top of my bald spots attached to the minimal hair that are there to make it look like I have hair on top of my scalp, not color on my scalp. It is also less messier than Caboki to apply in my opinion.5. Color works for me - I have hair that is uniformly one single color. So the color is a great match for me. I am not sure how it might work if you have a lot of highlights.6. Does not stain - I don't have a single stain on my pillows, clothes or anywhere else from keeping this in my hair and sleeping with it.Cons -1. Sometimes Itchy - I can go for 2-3 days without washing my hair. So sometimes it'll get itchy but it could just be my oily scalp.

I have tried many similar products but Nanogen really works.

I havent tried any other of the products like this so I cant compare. As far as this one, I really love it and use it every day. I have dark brown hair so I am not sure what the product would be like for someone with lighter hair but for darker it works great.I use the pointy end of my comb to make parts in my hair from front to back. Sprinkle on the fibers all along the part and if you have a part where it clumped or have just one dark spot on your scalp you can just use your fingers to lightly tap the fibers along your part. I spray the part with a regular pump hair spray and let it dry for a second. Then I make another part next to that and repeat it over the top of my scalp. I usually turn my head over and fluff my hair a bit as to not have a definite part. If I see places where it is bare I just repeat it. If I know I am going out that evening I may put a bit more on and sometimes I am lazy and just put it on my part that is showing. When I do the entire top of my scalp it really looks fuller.I have ordered twice now and I received the product both times the next day. Fastest shipping ever.My only complaint is that I do use it every day and for the price it is a bit much. I may try another brand to compare but right now I really love this stuff. Def recommend.

Well..........5 years ago I paid the big bucks for a hair transplant on my receding hairline.....and viola.......it's back. Thanks for not very much of a "guarantee" Bosley. So...like any relatively vain individual....I was looking for a way to cover what was gradually missing in the way of a distinctive hairline. It's amazing what a little bit of loss in a hairline can do to you in a photo....frozen in time....and placed on Facebook.Ugh! So.....browsing the internet for a solution....I came across the Nanogen Nanofibres. I was of course skeptic about shaking something over my head like a salt shaker that would actually stay in place....but had nothing to lose based on the cost. I ordered a bottle...gave it a shot...and hey....it works!! Yes...it's temporary with an every day application....but it's no different than covering a zit with Clearasil. An imperfection.....an a quick fix....because it's all about perception.....and these fibres attach to hair pretty well, and stay there until you shower them out. I now just shake some coverage over the exposed scalp that mimics a natural look.....and I am good to go.

I've been using this product for quite some time, and I've found it to be highly effective. It's simple to use (the fibres are sprinkled onto your head, in much the same way as you talcum powder), and - once you've got the hang of it - takes less than 5 minutes to apply. Once on, the fibres will stay in place for the rest of the day. I do suggest that, should it be a breezy day, you also use a little hair spray - to help hold the fibres in place.This really does create the appearance of having thicker hair. In fact, this can completely conceal very thinning hair. It won't work if you're completely bald, as it requires you having some hair for the fibres to cling to. These fibres don't 'sit' on your scalp - rather, they rest on your existing hair and make it look like you've got a much thicker head of hair.I have "ginger" hair - and I use the auburn fibres. They're a perfect colour match. If you're not happy about having thinning hair, and you prefer the appearance of having a thicker head-full of hair, then I recommend you try this product.The larger 30g item is adequate for a month - although if your hair is very thin, you'll likely need to use twice as much to create the appearance you're after. The negatives are: (1) these fibres are not water proof, so it rains then you'll need to quickly put a hat on; (2) the fibres almost completely fall off while you're in bed - so they'll need to be applied every day, first thing. And you'll need to clean your pillow case more regularly; (3) in one respect, these fibres are TOO good. Once applied, you'll forget about your thinning hair. The results are great. But when you step out of the shower, you'll find yourself reminded of how thin your hair is! As such, you can easily come to rely on these - and that's not a good thing.Overall, an impressive product.Note: to successfully apply these fibres, you'll need two mirrors - one to look into, and another to see the back of your head.

I have bought Nanogen hair fibres for a few years, they’ve changed my life, I have under active thyroid which wasn’t diagnosed for 3 years although all the tests, hence my hair thinned on the top, which I lost my confidence. Someone told me about spray to put on so I researched it and came across Nanogen and have never looked back, I also use the locking spray. The fibres do come off a little on the pillow but just reapply.Anyone that has thinning hair or bald spots this is just the thing. They have quite a few colours to match your own. My daughter puts mine on, but able to do it myself.I highly recommend this product !!

I am just so disappointed. I was so excited to use this product. I have seen its promotion online and the idea seemed amazing. I am not bald. I just have thin hair and wanted a fuller look.ISSUE 1: Even though I was extremely careful, the product fell all over my neck, back (I was shirtless - glad I didn't have my new shirt on when I sprinkled the fibers). Where I wanted my hair to be particular full was at the front - near my hairline. I ended up all dusty with the product all over my forehead. And yes, I was very careful and sprinkled it gently following box instructions, blending the fibers with my fingers. It was literally a matter of 5-10 min (as I was extra careful)l and I was all dusty. In the end, I had to go and have a shower to clean myself.ISSUE 2: The fibers go down to your scalp! I thought they were meant to attach to your hair, not to your scalp! My scalp looked ridiculous at the front as if I had been showered with brown dust. Rather than making my hair look nice, this product brought even more attention to my hair negatively. No, I was not sweaty, I had had a shower 20 minutes before and was fully dry.I would like a refund!

For context, I’m a 40 year old woman with fair skin and dark hair. I got sick to death of seeing myself in photos and my eyes being immediately drawn to how thin (generally and in some patches) my hair is on the top and front of my head. After alopecia and having generally crappy hair genes, I decided to investigate bonded extensions but was advised they would make my hair worse in the long run and I don’t want to go back to wigs, so I found Nanogen and thought I might as well give it a go. This is the answer for me, it fills in the gaps beautifully and it means for the first time in years I can consider wearing my hair up. I find it very easy to apply and it holds very well with the spray. I’m really thrilled to have found it and will keep using it daily.

The product didn't work for me. The fibres are too yellow and I will keep on using dry shampoo as it works much better and helps my hair look thicker.
