Oregon Fruit Rhubarb in Strawberry Sauce, 15 oz (Pack of 4)

These were perfect for my buttermilk rhubarb pie. I just drained the strawberry juice before adding them to the pie and used the juice in a smoothie. It came out really good. The rhubarb is sweet like strawberry since it's soaked in juice.

I have never bought canned rhubarb before so I was a little hesitant to try it but I am so glad I did. I have always purchased frozen rhubarb in the past but they quit selling it around here and no one seems to grow it in this area. When I opened the can, I was so surprised to see how much the rhubarb looked like it was fresh rhubarb and it was not all mushy. I made a pie for my son-in-law and he and the rest of us were so surprised at how good it was for canned rhubarb. It was canned in a strawberry sauce and the flavor was so good. I am so happy that I found this product and I definitely will be buying it again in the future. It is so flavorful and it made the best pie. I cannot wait to try some of my other rhubarb recipes with it.

As a pie baker, when rhubarb is in season and cannot be found there's no other option but to use canned or frozen and both aren't always easy to find. Normally, I use fresh rhubarb, but missed the narrow window of opportunity for finding and buying it this year. Tried this canned version by Oregon as I have used some of their other canned fruit products that ARE on my supermarket shelves (this one is not) and I was impressed with how great my Strawberry-Rhubarb Pie turned out! Literally, it made the best pies I've ever had. Since I had to buy a pack of four cans, I ended up making four pies and everyone loved them - this product does not disappoint! Oregon has recipes on their website for rhubrarb desserts or you can search the Internet for other rhubarb recipes to use this for and it works just fine. Will definitely purchase again!

Lots of Rhubarb in these cans. Not so much Strawberry. Very liguidy, so if making a pie you need to thicken the liquid.

I love rhubarb in the first place. But there are some canned "fruits" out there that are mostly just sugar and corn starch. Not this one. It tastes great and has the rhubarb tartness you expect. So I say to you;though it is a bit expensive, it is worth it.

I was so excited to be able to have rhubarb to make a pie. It was delivered in a timely manner, but the wrong item was sent. I went in circles with Amazon's AI customer service and got nowhere, constantly being told I couldn't return or replace it despite the fact that they sent me the wrong item due to their food product policy. I contacted Oregon specialty fruit directly and they did get back to me and sent me the rhubarb for free.

I think it's great to be able to find rhubarb canned like most other types of pie filling, and my boyfriend will even eat it as the strawberry puree that it comes in doesn't have seeds.

Purchased 4-pk for $18.00 months ago. Now…$55.00!!!! For four cans of fruit??? Not a chance!!Any seller who takes advantage of (formally) loyal buyers like that… who exploits interest in their product to that degreee….NOPE, NO WAY!
