This knife is well made and so convenient for cutting mushrooms. It has a brush on one end that gently cleans your shrooms. Highly recommended.

This review is based on the price of $42.39 at the time of acquisition. I'm in the woods daily & always carry a pack w/my knives. I was looking for one with a brush & found out about this brand. I LOVE that it comes in it's own case (that fits on your belt, see picture). It will fit both horizontally or vertically. The knife folds & is easy to open/close. The little brush works well too & has long enough bristles to function for some more delicate mushrooms. I've found that this knife will work for most mushrooms but not the larger tougher ones (like some Ganoderma & bracket types). But for most growing from the ground or in clusters (90+% of what I am interested in) it works perfectly. Also, it's lightweight at <3oz!! and MADE in FRANCE, nice bonus. Highly recommend for any mycology buff or gifting to one.

I opted for this knife for its quality and lightweight design, having owned an Opinel cheese knife for years, which I love. First time I took this knife out foraging for Turkey Tails, some dirt got stuck in the workings of the rotating blade lock at the hilt. The dirt jammed up the lock, which is now almost impossible to turn. I see no way of getting the grit out of such a tight space. I’ve tried.Pretty disappointed that after just one use I’m now avoiding using this pricey knife. If it’s designed for mushroom foraging, it should be designed so this doesn’t happen, or for easy cleaning... being that mushrooms are foraged from dirt/trees etc. where grit & plant debris can easily get into the workings.

My son has just started hunting mushrooms and I chose to add this as a holiday gift. We were delighted at the appearance and quality. After he took with him for 1st time he called to thank me for this tool saying it was very useful and cut well as was easy to use way it was designed. Reminder to tie a bright colored ribbon around in case you drop in foliage.

Really nice sheath and the knife is the best.

Very hard to store/remove knife from sheathe. If you store with the brush facing upwards, you basically have no option but tugging at the brush to pull it out. Other than the sheathe being way to tight and having ugly orange straps on it, the knife was as expected.
