Sugar - Demerara (Mauritius)

This sugar has depth and is rich and aromatic. You can actually smell it when you open whatever you store it in (you can't really store it in the fragile bag it's packaged in). Though it makes one helluva terrific cup of coffee, it's even better when used in baking - I use it all desserts instead of refined white sugar (I still use dark brown sugar for brown sugar). And, if you're a bread baker, you gotta give this a try in your Jewish Seeded Rye bread - a heavenly undernote of sweetness that can't be duplicated with white sugar.I gotta say, it's a little pricey. But, like all really fine things, it's worth it.

The packaging does not look even remotely the same. It does not say it is India Tree Brand anywhere. It is fairly light colored. There was little to no molasses flavor. For the money, I was hoping for much more. My inexpensive Florida Crystals taste better than this. Do not recommend

Best brand of the best sugar around. A little pricey but well worth it.
