MedelaFreestyle Spare Parts Kit

I have an older model Medela Freestyle and can’t find the parts anywhere other than Amazon. I had been using my hand held manual pumps, but I really wanted to be hands free. So thankful for this option! They work well and came in a timely manner!!

Great quality. Bought because my breast pump valves were losing some suction. Thought price was very reasonable. Fit my Medela Freestyle perfectly.

I started to leave a 3 star review but realized it would not be due to THIS specific product. It works great and I had no issues with the initial product. Sadly though, this is Medela’s old design and they just don’t last long enough. They crack so easily at the connections.If you have the freestyle pump, these work great and are exactly what you’re looking for. I just wouldn’t recommend the freestyle pump (from an exclusively pumping mom)

Pros: Proper suction, easy to assemble, comparable to original parts, great value.Cons: Takes time to properly clean them.I exclusively pump with the Medela Freestyle and find the suction on the pump, along with these parts, is excellent. The value is great; I’ve only found these to be reasonably priced here on Amazon and Target, but Amazon Prime makes the shipping a lot faster than Target. They are easy to assemble with only three pieces and are just as good as the original parts that come with the pump. They can be a hassle to clean because there’s a lot of little spaces inside the parts to clean out breast milk residue, but a good soak in warm soapy water helps. I find it helpful to purchase two sets, so one is always in use while the other is drying/clean.Side note: In my opinion, you should replace these parts every 1-2 months for the pump to work at its best. Also, do not scrub the membranes (rubber pieces), my husband made that mistake and it compromised the suction. Just gently wipe in warm soapy water.

This is a genuine medela product so it fits the original freestyle perfectly. Everything was easy to use, great condition. It was not a great value for money since it's still 30 dollars and the pump itself is outdated and cost the same if not more than the newer freestyle parts.

Once you start pumping it can feel like all you do is feed, pump, change diapers, repeat. There doesn't feel like a lot of time to wash and sanitize because there isn't. I actually have 3 sets of these and it's really been a lifesaver.I wash them in batches and always have clean ones ready when it's time to pump. I find it especially helpful on the go--I assemble a couple sets of the spare parts, the breastshield and a bottle and put them in a ziploc bag for when I'm ready to pump. After I'm done, I put the used (dirty) set into a recycled plastic shopping bag and have it set aside to wash when I get home. If I need to pump again while I'm out, I have another set all ready to go and I'm not worried about any bacteria or dried milk from the last session.You can also grab some Quick Clean Breastpump and Accessory Wipes 24 Pack. They work well too but can get a little pricey if you're using them every time you pump.

I bought 4 sets of freestyle spare parts kits from this seller. When I opened one, I immediately noticed a strong plastic smell. I have been using Medela Freestyle for several months and I've bought the spare parts kits at Target, drugstore.com and Babies R Us. None of the spare parts I bought at these places smell the same as the products from this seller. At first I thought maybe because it's new. So I soaked it in water for a whole day. When I took it out, it still had the strong plastic smell which made me want to vomit. Then I washed it in warm water, but the smell got even worse.I bought these sets only because the seller had a better price, since I use quite a few breast pump accessories and it cost money. But now I've decided that I'll only buy from Amazon.com and never from a third-party seller. First, you never really know what kind of seller it is, whether they are legit or not. You don't want to risk your baby's health, to just save several bucks! I'd rather spend more and purchase from a brick & mortar store which I can really trust. Second, the customer service is no good!!! In our communication, the seller has just kept on blabbing how legit they are, how good their products are, and other customers had no problems blah blah blah. As a customer, I have my concern for a reason. And the seller should be there to address this concern, promptly and proactively, especially given that they are selling Baby products. And they don't provide return shipping label!!!! "All returns are up to the customer unless we provided an incorrect item. " This is what they said. What a condescending attitude!!! In years of shopping on Amazon, all sellers I encountered provided return shipping labels and they provided them AUTOMATICALLY and swiftly. Very disappointing. Will not buy from this seller again
