Great service as Haktoys contacted me and sent me a new car to try out. Works great and Grandsons are happily taking turns swirling it around. I like that you can turn the sound off as it can become to annoyingI bought 2 of these for my 2 Grandsons for Christmas - 2015. We took them both out of the boxes ahead of time to charge the cars battery. I'm so glad we did as our Grandsons were so excited with how they did all the moves and the colored lights spinning in the wheels. The controls were easy to use for a 2 1/2 and 4 year old, of course Dad and an Uncle had to have a turn too. They are sturdy and did well on the wide panel wood floors. Now to the Boo Boo after about 15 minutes the Red Car started to smoke. My son opened it up thinking it might be the battery but the battery was cool. Stopped using it and have sent the seller an e-mail. I know I have read comments that the Seller ? or Haktoys will help with a replacement. will wait and see and post here with the solution's.Up-date I received an e-mail back and was told that it was just some oil and it was ok to use. Well the car never worked again. My son opened the car and the wires were all melted. I have sent another e-mail requesting a new car.I'll be back with results. The Blue car we bought has worked perfectly and is super fun to play with.

My 3 year old loves just making it spin and light up. Haven't tested it outside but looks like it could do ok. Remote range is pretty short, maybe a few feet or so between the remote and the car. Not a biggie. Battery life is decent. We can use it for a few min here and there and it lasts several times before I have to recharge it. Not sure of the constant run time. Great starter remote control car. Lights are very cool. Hard for the little one to control turning and going straight because the remote is a little funky, (flip both toggles up to go straight, one to turn, one up one down to spin, etc.) but easy to make it spin in circles which is all my toddler cares to do with it anyway. It also flips over and will keep on going which is another neat feature (but then makes it hard to figure out if you push both toggles up if it will go straight or backwards depending on which side is flipped up). Fun and worth the money. If you're not ready to buy a $40-50 remote control this is a fun one.

UPDATE: the company contacted us as a result of this review and sent us two free replacements for the ones that broke after two months. Good customer service in the end...We purchased two of these RC Cars for Christmas. Our 6 year old daughter and 2 year old son both loved them...while they worked. They are a really good design - in particular the soft wheels, the lighting, and the ability to do a bunch of stunts with the rotating front wheel assembly are really nice. The fact that there is a switch where you can turn off the really loud, super annoying music is a must.Unfortunately, both cars broke after around 2 months of occasional use. The front wheel assembly no longer flips around - for a while it sounded like the gears were grinding, now nothing happens. It is unfortunate, as we really liked them, but they don't seem to be as reliable as I would have hoped.

We got this for out 7 year-old daughter, since she wanted an R/C car because her brothers had their own. I've never seen a kid have more fun than she had with this thing on her birthday! We rented a big conference-room at our library for the party, for movies, and for this thing. She was running it all over the place, chasing her friends, running it head-on into the brick walls, and just kept going & going. We thought it had to be a fluke that it ran so long, but so far every time we use it, we get a solid 15-20 minutes or run-time with it.We also take it to our skate park, and the other kids will stop skating and watch her have fun with it. It also runs pretty good on low carpet, but slows down quite a bit on higher carpet. If you watch your kids carefully, this could be a good toy for a bedroom, but you really need more room with this. It's not the type of R/C you can drive and walk along beside it. It's fast, and will be bouncing off walls if you don't keep an eye on the action. It's fast enough to ramp up the walls at the skate park, but I try to catch it before it hits the ground. I don't know if it will handle drops on concrete very well. I also don't want to try it on dirt. We're happy enough on solid surfaces.

This item was purchased as a Christmas gift for my grandson. His brother received a blue one that operates on a different frequency, so that they can both drive them at the same time without the two remote controls interfering with each other. Both boys love them. It wasn't long before they were making them do stunts, and battle each other. The repetitive music can be turned off with a switch, to avoid annoyance. The flashing LEDs look really cool in a dim room, or outside after dark. They are very sturdy. The four year old repeatedly set his on the desk, (about 30 in. tall) then drove it off the edge to fall on the hardwood floor. The toy just kept on truckin'. The rechargeable battery pack in the car is a nice feature, although you have to provide your own USB charger. At least it does come with a cable to connect to the charger. I highly recommend these for any child (or parent).

Absolute waste of money.. charged fully and still would not work at all. this was a christmas gift.. the twins were extremely heartbroken. embarrased that i bought this item and gave it as agift. never everagain.. would love my money back , but i have heard too many bad things about returning items on amazon.. do not buy..period
