How To Be A Champion In Life!
Read this book!!!George Foreman's personality, style and charisma make this perhaps my favorite book of all time. Why? Because George gives us a detailed look at his personal journey to finding spirituality and happiness in life and how he has shared that lesson with others in an attempt to improve their lives.I liked George Foreman before reading this book but afterward, I achieved a higher sense of respect for a selfless man who gave up his boxing career to preach and follow the path to God. He even started the George Foreman Youth and Community Center in 1984 with retirement money that he had "tucked" away during his 8-year retirement from boxing. His goal was not to indoctrinate local kids but to give them a place to come and follow a productive direction.Though George "un-retired" from boxing several times, he continued as a minister in his own local church and spreading the word of God in many ways. In fact, George illustrates that money, wealth and power do not necessarily create a sense of fulfillment; it's the spirituality that brings joy and contentment. George lays the advice out for his readers, plain and simple:"I am convinced that God gives us all a chance to know Him. He gives us the opportunity and if we say "yes" to Him, He will choose us. But He won't force Himself on anyone"."God is merciful and will always give us a new beginning if we are willing to change."Clearly, this advice comes from a man who was transformed in that locker room in 1976.

A powerful story of how and why he became a Christian
I've given this book to several people and they have all been surprised at the intensity and value of George Foreman's testimonial. Indeed he became a changed man. A great book to share with non-believers.

A must read for anyone. George is a true gentleman and a person to look up to.
I can't say enough good things about this book. I've always been a big fan of boxing and George Foreman has always been one of my favorites. I had seen him on TV interviews and shows always smiling. He just seemed like such a genuine, kind hearted person. Not someone who was putting on a show but truly genuine. That's what made me want to read his book. This book resonated with me so much that I decided to reach out to George himself in an email. I never expected to get a response but to my amazement he wrote me back with less than an hour. What a great guy. I live in Texas and hope to visit his church someday for a sermon. Thank you, George. You are truly an inspiration and a gentleman. God bless you and your family. Mike H. Listen to a man who's seen it all.
When George Forman became champion of the world, no one would have imagined he would one day be a man of God. But a vision he experienced when he collapsed and "died" turned his life upside down.In his easy, tell it like it is style, George instructs us on the why and how's you too can find faith and peace.I love this book. George speaks with authority because he's been there - million heir to flat broke. Abandoned by his wife, only to meet his true love afterward. You will marvel at the things God did for George - which is what makes this book much more than a self help piece or devotional. You've going to be instructed and inspired.

Excellent book for anyone, especially Christians
This book is great to me partly because I had a similar Divine revelation on July 1, 2007, and was baptized on June 7, 2008. I have read it twice and have notes and highlights throughout this book. It is the part of George Foreman’s life that should be more talked about and deserves a faithful movie script and screenplay and movie production.

George Foreman's Spiritual Autobiography!
George Foreman begins his story when his favorite nephew had a seizure and was in a coma the doctors told his sister their was nothing they could do other then pray.George Foreman told his mother to tell the doctors he was George Foreman World Heavyweight Champion and he would pay to send in the best doctors. His mother gave him the same response that all he could do was pray so he got out of bed three different times and prayed three different prayers his last one being"If you are God take my life".His Nephew ended up surviving walking and talking.Later after a boxing match George Foreman's life was nearly taken when he met God.He began preaching and started a Youth Center for troubled kids and that is when he won the Workd Heavy Weight Championship title a second time raising money for the youth center.I would also reccomend By George his autobiography there is no profanity in his books.Thank you for taking the time to read this review!
