This is real vitamin E. It's not a serum so it's very dark and very thick. That's what I wanted. I always buy this same brand of oils. You'll probably have to use some water with this one. It's so healing.

When I used this product on my face, it caused my skin to break out in an itchy red rash that felt like it was burning and made me want to scratch my skin constantly. The areas under my eyes were especially affected (which also became swollen and remained so for 2 days after, even after treating it with ice packs). At first I thought maybe I had contaminated it with something on my hands or thought maybe I had gotten a poison ivy rash or possibly was allergic to it. It took multiple days to clear up and stop itching. Once the original reaction was gone, I tried it again to see if it was just a fluke, being extra careful to make sure nothing was on my hands when I applied it, but I had the same reaction. When I used the oil on other areas of my skin (legs and arms) I didn’t have any issues, but each time I used it on my face, I got the same horrible reactions. Because of this, I ruled out thinking I’m allergic and conclude it must be something in the oil and only when used on more sensitive skin, like the face, did it cause the negative reaction. Maybe it’s too high potency for my face and shouldn’t be used straight and mixed with another type of carrier oil?**UPDATE** the seller contacted me immediately and offered a full refund. I’m giving it 4 stars based on the great customer service response from the company. I won’t be using this oil because of my reaction from it, but I do appreciate the quick response from the company. I did purchase another oil from them (emu oil) and had no issues with it. Other reviews don’t seem to have had issues with this oil, so maybe it was just my skin sensitivity?

Customer satisfaction seems to be important to them and they appear to stand by their product. That says a lot. I have not used the product. My original comment is below. I don't know if the actual product is good because I didn't feel safe using a product on my skin that wasn't clearly identified or labeled with ingredients.Original comment:I was not comfortable with using this product because it is NOT properly labeled. Items sold as cosmetic oils are regulated by the FDA and have specific labeling requirements. An ingredient label should be printed on the box that identifies the ingredients in the bottle. There isn't one. Why should I trust that I've received the product I've ordered when the printed packaging doesn't name the specific item. Also, the packaging should include the address (contact information) of party selling the item. That isn't there either.The oil was shipped in a decorative box that was shrink wrapped in plastic. The decorative box doesn't identify what's in the box in any way. Nothing on the printed box identified the oil as Vitamin E and there is no listed ingredients. The only thing identifying what is supposed to be in the box is a white sticky label on the shrink plastic.The post for the item says they do not accept returns because it's a "food safe" product. That's odd, how does anyone know that's what's actually the case given the box isnt labeled. Another Vitamin Oil I purchased doesn't prevent returns.Revision: Cut through the plastic and opened the box. The bottle label lists the ingredients. I still wish those details were on the box.

It makes my skin soft and smooth. I use it from my face to my feet.
