I was looking for a Wahl clippers throughout the covid 19 lockdown. I finally managed to pick these up for £14 on an absolute steal.These clippers are fantastic. They do all the jobs a fancy version would do for a fraction of the price.The 1-4 guards are perfect as anything above a 4 can be done by hand with a scissors. Personally I’d rarely even use the 3.The razor cuts very well and feels solid. It’s not that heavy and doesn’t vibrate that much so it’s easy to use for an extended period if you’re doing a fade of some sort. It gets a little bit hot after a while. I used it for maybe an hour the first time and while it never got too hot to use, I just gave it a little cooling break after maybe 30min and 45min for a few minutes while I either cleaned up a bit or did some scissors work on the top.It wasn’t too hot to handle, just thought it might be better for the lifespan to let it cool on the windowsill.It comes with some accessories including clipper oil. The scissors that come with it are fine. I had already bought a pair of barbers scissors on Amazon for around £5 a few months ago, which I think are better quality so I just used them. The ones that come with the clippers would be fine though. The comb is pretty decent too, but again I just used the one I had already.I would say they’re very good for both self hair cutting - Aaron Oddball uses them for his YouTube videos. They’re also great for somebody else to cut your hair.They’re quite intuitive and easy enough to fade with the taper lever so I’m sure most people could perform an acceptable haircut with them.As these cost me £14 which is about €16 and my usual haircuts in the Grafton Barber cost €19, I’ve already made my money back after the first cut. It’s going to take a while to get to the same level as them of course, but there’s never been a better time to learn.Overall for £14 you really can’t go wrong. I saw these selling on eBay for much much more before I finally snapped these up.

Considering you can pay nearly 200 pounds for top of the range clippers, these represent good value for money. I got them running straight out of the box and had most of my bonce finished before my wife could come in an upbraid me for going 2 all over again. The blades are plainly good quality and won't snag on your hair (mine's very thick) if you look after them as instructed. I needed a bit of help finishing off the back - but all in all, easy-peasy. They do get hot, but only after about 20 minutes and my guess is most people will be done by then.

Just great .Works perfect .And no nips .The blades are metal not plastic as someone mentioned .Perfect .

In my opinion, these would be ideal for any kind of beard trim or haircut that requires the use of a guard attachment, as I felt very nervous around my ears when cutting my hair without one. The shortest cut level, isn't short enough for a really close haircut, and as mentioned previously, I felt that the likelihood of sustaining an ear injury was very probable without an attachment fitted. I'll give them another try, but will more than likely get rid, and I wouldn't recommend these to anyone wishing to maintain a close crop.

Replacement for one I left behind. Now have two. Not as well built as my trusty faithful. Does the job and is great value for money. Recomendation allowed.
