Geo Watkins Mushroom Ketchup (190ml)

This is a game changer. Simply add a couple of spoons to a casserole and you’ll transform your dish with full flavours. Really takes food to the next level!(Don’t focus on the word ‘ketchup’, this is actually closer to the consistency of soy sauce.)

Given we're all after saving money right now, I wondered why I kept buying dried porcini mushrooms, which are quite expensive, mostly just for the flavour. I then remembered this mushroom ketchup which I used when first married. It really gives a beef casserole a boost but it can be used on anything really, chicken or veggie and particularly if your sauce or gravy comes out a bit watery. It's a great flavour filler and you only need a few drops

I searched everywhere for this sauce because I use it a lot. Sainsburys stopped doing it a while ago and nowhere else seemed to stock it. So I was pleased when I found it on Amazon as otherwise I was going to have to go to the faff of making my own. Anyway, this has a lovely flavour and you don't need much. I use it for mushrooms on toast or for putting an few drops in the mushrooms I cook for an omelette. But the possibilities are endless for a keen cook and a bottle lasts for ages. 5 stars.

Just bought another bottle of the fantastic sauce. We have just finished the last bottle which was about six months out of date. The bottle also says to be kept in the fridge and used within 4 weeks. We have been using this for years and never put it on the fridge ….and it still tastes good.

Adds flavour to the cooking. Never had it before, very pleasant.

Excellent product goes into nearly all my vegetarian and meat dishes alike
