This is a beautiful pot, beautifully packaged. It would be a great gift item for someone who experiments with different methods of coffee making. Pricey, but I spent more on my wonderful stainless steel Italian Moka and it is not nearly as pretty.

A lot of effort went into making this thing look pretty and into convincing buyers that they are getting an authentic Greek product. However, it is likely made in China since the handle is Asian rubber wood. Nowhere on the pot or packaging does it say "Made in Greece".Whether you care about that or not, you should know that the handle detaches with gentle pressure which could lead to someone getting scalded with hot coffee. Very disappointing...

when I first saw this item, I thought it had to be overpriced. I had to check it out because I personally am a coffee lover, and tend to drink all different types of coffee. I go back-and-forth from espresso, to regular, to percolated, to Turkish/Greek, and even cowboy coffee.I have seen other versions, the same style, and they didn't cost as much, but they are nowhere near as nice, and most do not have a removable handle. This one is a great design, visually, and functionally. It is very easy to use, and makes amazing coffee, every time. Just add your coffee grounds and water, throw it on the stove, it has an optional removable handle, so it is an off balance on the stove, as soon as it begins to boil, grab the handle and pull it off the heat, let the bubbles go down and pour. This pot has a great capacity, and is pretty heavy, so if you leave the handle on it it's not going to fall over or anything. Great push button on the handle to release it, very cool design. Great coffee maker, actually worth it, highly recommended.

taste of coffee is not what it should be. It is just bland. Beautiful artwork though, but that's it. A cheaper and enameled pot (metal) does a better job.

This is a meticulously crafted and meticulously packed item. If you give it as a present to someone who prepares coffee the way they do in Turkey, Greece, Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, etc., I'm sure it will be appreciated. It may also be a great conversation trigger. There is a specific way of brewing this type of coffee, with some variations along the Mediterranean, but they all share the same general idea. If you want to try using this pot to make that type of coffee, make sure you research how it's properly done.
